I heard that it includes 5 steel book cases, another reviewer and article says they are dvd cases, and a big spindle that you have to pick through?

I'm interested in this depending on how they are housed in the fire house box.
Any actual information or real pictures of this will be a great help. Thanks.

I bought mine directly from Time Life shortly after it was released. It has the steel book cases. I can't vouch for the ones on Amazon, but I just checked, and Time Life's website currently has it for $100. I know that the individual volumes that I've seen in stores were in regular DVD cases.

I would rather have the steel books since I'm paying this much for the set.

I see it shows free shipping. How long does it take roughly to arrive and is it packaged properly?
 
If he doesn't reply about packing for shipping etc, you could email the site and ask them. I know that's a basic answer when it comes to questions but the beauty in it is if you need a refund or return because of something the seller did wrong you have email(s) as proof.

I bought it shortly after it was originally released at the end of 2008, so it's been a while and my memory might be a little fuzzy. I honestly have no idea how long it took to arrive after I ordered it. I would assume probably not more than a week or two. I don't remember being anxious or upset about it taking a long time. My set arrived in perfect condition - no dents, dings, scratches, etc. So I assume it was packaged pretty well.

 
It was a real treat to buy these back in early 2009.  Watched every episode then stopped at the slimer and TRGB episodes.... Hated that season with a passion when I was a kid and still hate it today.  There were some really good episodes and the animation was top quality.  I am thinking maybe I should take it out of the firehouse package and have the steelbooks next to my other steelbooks...but I am pretty sure visitors would say " Why do you have so many copies of TRGB??"

I would blind buy this even if it's not in a steelbook anymore.

You won't regret it.
