Best Buy now offering free express (release date delivery) shipping on many pre-orders (Evolve, Dying Light, more)

CAGiversary!
Starting yesterday, Evolve had free upgraded exppress shipping (usually express shipping costs $18.99), basically guaranteed release date delivery. They also added free express shipping to Dying Light a day or two ago. And I ordered Saints Row IV last week with the same promo. Let's discuss what other titles has this nice perk, thereby saving us a trip to the store on release date.

It says get it on (release date), unlike other methods which the date is much later.

Can confirm that Saints Row showed up on time yesterday (I was caught completely unaware). I've come to expect BB deliveries to come the friday after a release. Great program, much excitement here!

I've been elite plus / RZ silver for years now and that shit does not even come close to guaranteeing release day delivery... You get it a day or two after release usually with that shipping, mostly a day after release.

I think it varies by location. I've gotten all my day one deliveries on time with free shipping from BB.

Is this new, for the last couple months I got expedited shipping for free with elite plus. I think the shipping option started around October or November.

I've seen it on all the preorders I've done recently (Destiny, GTA, Dragon Age) and all my upcoming preorders (Bloodborne and Witcher).

It's more comparable to the Dead Island series than ZombieU.
Except they took out the analog combat control, which is the one thing that made Dead Island really stand out. They're adding in some sort of parkour mechanic that could be fun if they really nail it. Still not the same as strategically removing a tough zombie's limbs.

It's about time. I was wondering why they thought it was acceptable/competitive to take almost a week, to get me a game, when Amazon can deliver it on the release date. I pre-ordered Destiny, from BBY, and decided to never pre-order from them again, without in-store pickup (if ever). They sent it on the release date, and I did not receive it until the following Monday :/ If you complained, they just said that you should have ordered expedited shipping (at a cost of $16)

The analog control was a kinda cool gimmick but yo, a turd with a gold ring stuck in it is still a turd.

Not really much of a deal.

Those games still qualify for free shipping because of their price, just a few of them qualify for faster shipping. Youre just saving a couple days of wait time, not money. Or could simply just go to a bestbuy store and pick it up when it comes out.

Not even a definitive list of qualifying games in the OP, or a link or any kind.

Not thread worthy really.

are you going to go on the best buy website and check every single game? I asked everyone to discuss any other games they find. Plus not having to drive to best buy on release date saves me money. And considering express shipping usually costs $18.99, this is a bona fide savings.

I get off work and I hate driving to the other side of town and sitting in traffic. It's a lot nicer to get that game I want waiting for me on my doorstep. Free expedited shipping is a deal.

Don't thread crap.

There's always someone complaining about a deal not being a deal. Free expedited shipping is a nice item to offer on pre-orders.

Batman Arkham Knight LE, The Order 1886 LE and Witcher 3 all had expedited shipping when I placed a pre-order for them today. Bloodborne LE did not.

Best Buy has always been weird about this as expedited shipping options come at random. I got Toad's Treasure Tracker (a $40 game, mind you) and had the option for free release date shipping. A Wii U game, a cheaper-than-average game, and a game not in high demand - why this game? Maybe it was a trial run.

I'm not so sure how new this is. I may not preorder from Best Buy as often as most of you, but every game I've preordered over the past year has arrived on release day to my house for free. No Elite/Elite Plus/RZ Silver involved.

So is this promo retroactive to all existing preorders, or do you have to cancel and order again? I don't see anything like free express shipping on my open preorder of The Order 1886.

Would've ordered DOA 5 Last Round from them but no free express shipping. rather download instead then and save on tax charges anyway

I'm going to check the site tomorrow if the express works on the order limited . Still trying to hunt down a batman limited so I can snatch that sweet steel book.

Has anybody ordered a game using this free same day delivery on a preorder and actually got it on the release day? Is it too early and nobody has took advantage of this offer? I'm thinking of getting 2k16 for the early release date delivery since my Best Buy is about 30min away from me, scared of not getting it on time though wonder how reliable they are.
