Gamergaters are Idiots and this is why....

The constant need of unintelligent self serving dickheads will always be a problem.

There will always be some jackass hiding behind anonymity thinking it's funny to try and bring suffering to someone.

More than enough times it's some asshole who has a problem with a family member or other female aquaintance and is too much of a pussy to confront the person themselves so they find some unrelated random person and attacks them anonymously. These people are using the name Gamergate in an effort to shift blame for their actions away from themselves so that hey can try to continue doing wrong and shirking the guilt elsewhere. It may also be an effort to detract from any good that could come from the true purpose of the group just for the lulz.

Bunch of asshats.

I prefer to approach gamergate in mostly the same way I view the Israel/Palestine issue, both sides are assholes.
 
I play PC Games and I hate everyone equally. Consolers abit more, tho.

That's because GamersGate is the game retailer. And no, the #Gamergate (sans-s) controversy has hurt the retailers site on a couple occasions via mis-targeted DDoS attacks from apparent gamergaters that can't spell.

This is a stupid topic, but the funny thing is when I did a search just for kicks on Duck Duck Go for Gamergate to verify that your spelling was correct(it was, plurals be damned, although they were probably worried about erroneous links to the actual GamersGate), the first entry I had was a Wikipedia entry on a gamergate, or a reproductively viable female worker ant. Learn something new everyday.
