I have a weird Xbox One "Games w/ Gold" question....

As of right now I DO NOT own an Xbox One.

I do however have a 360 and a gold membership. I was wondering, when I look at the Xbox website at the games with gold offer it allows me to "claim" xbox one monthly gold games. If I selected these and bought an Xbox One later on would they be tied to my account? Or am I just dreaming and need an XB1 first.

Just curious.

You can get them before you can get an XB1.  I was doing that from when the games were released on GWG on the XB1 for months before I had a XB1.

Microsoft recently added the ability to "buy" them through the 360's dashboard as well: http://majornelson.com/2015/03/02/xbox-360-owners-can-now-start-building-xbox-one-game-library-free/.

If it helps, the Xbox One had a few carry over of titles into the next months, so you didn't miss too many.
