Titanfall Season Pass Free for Xbox One and Xbox 360 and PC

It's the one year anniversary, not an error

Edit: also the community is basically dead from what I've read and no one touches the DLC playlists, so hopefully this fixes that

They might as well make this game free at this point

Don't they usually patch it when things like these happen?

3-4000 playing at most USA main hours. They put it on sale often so there is always jolts during those times. Not every mode has a ton of players though. Its really fun, but Im not too big on FPSing with a controller and I would rather play on PC(I believe that community is dead.)

I wish this was for the PC version as well.. I don't think i can pull the trigger on the xbox version.. ever.

Console FPS..... garbage.

Already had it on PC, but nabbed it on 360 just for the hell of it. Booyakasha.

The problem with the PC version is that no one plays the DLC. I bought it months ago, and the lobbies for the DLC modes were always empty.

Thanks for the post! I just got an Xbox One and have been playing this pretty regularly. This'll be another plus while playing it. Oh and definitely no shortage of available games even during the day (US servers)..

Been talking with CS for the last ~20 or so. I just bought the digital deluxe edition 2 days ago. Hopefully I can get refunded for the difference since I bought it so recently.

People still play this game?

I just rebought the game two nights ago and have had zero problems getting into any matches. I've been mostly playing the popular gametypes and see that only 30 people or so are playing types like Wingman, but other than that, I've been playing plenty. I played for about two hours tonight and only got DLC maps so those are covered too.

I doubt i'd play MP much anyway, I rarely do now..

(My luck there is no SP campaign lol, I know very little of Titanfall honestly.. Just know it's a FPS with Mech's)

Is this game worth it for just the campaign?

Seriously though... MS/Sony should try and develop simple games like this every year or two and just give them out for free for Live / PS Plus subscribers.

You don't make a game to give it away for free without a bunch of microtransactions.

Why not? You can if it's an incentive to buy a console and yearly subscription. Generations ago every console came with a flagship game right?

With how quickly they have had to give up on Titanfall they might as well have just made it free at launch and exclusive to X1. This maybe breathes a month or two of life into it before it becomes obscure again with the next newsworthy event being the closure of the servers.

But if you give it for free at launch it becomes a rallying point for new console owners who are waiting for anything decent to play and are willing to overlook the fact that the game itself left a lot to be desired.

Sony and Microsoft already give you an incentive with free older games. To spend development cost on a game made solely for a paid subscription (among other games that get money before they are on this market) would be a waste of money and resources especially on platform with other free games.

You talk about Titanfall but people did buy the game. It sold well. Why make it free when people are willing to buy the game and Xbox Live.

What makes it appealing is that it is exclusive. They don't need a free exclusive to prove its worth buying (obviously judging by the numbers).

nobody should buy Titanfall for the campaign. Its non existent and feels like it was shoehorned in just to appease people who absolutely insist on multiplayer online games having a tacked on "story". The only reason you should want to play Titanfall is if you enjoy shooting human beings in the face for hours on end, parkouring like Spider Man with an LMG, and jumping into giant Ogre titans so you can kill even more human beings online.

Its fun. A lot of fun. One of the very best new IPs and a great Xbox One game. Titanfall 2 will definitely be even more epic, whenever it gets made.

so is there any way to get the game cheap too?  i have the deluxe edition on PC and enjoy it but wouldn't mind trying the xbox one version, i grabbed the SP but it doesn't do much good without the game i assume

Well, there's $25 down the drain... Bought the Season Pass when I got the game (literally the only SP I've ever bought). Things like this will keep me from giving devs money for Passes when they will just become free later down the road

I don't get the idea selling multiplayer maps and to me it is more ridiculous than horse armor to be honest. Map cost money to develop I know but what they are doing is segmenting the online community and in some case kill it because not everyone is going to get the dlc maps. It's not like pubs/devs get nothing out of it if dlc maps were free. People play their game longer and it stays relevant. Titanfall is the perfect example.

That said, Titanfall on PC bored the crap out of me but I am enjoying the heck out of it on Xbox One. Maybe because I suck less... l o l

Already purchased it during the new years sale for 6.75 or something like that on xbone and def got my money's worth since then. Hopefully this will boost the number of players on the dlc servers. And now will have access to the maps on 360 if I ever go back to that version so that's sweet.

I buy the Cod season passes, but I also paid $25 for this. I definitely didn't get $25 worth of enjoyment out of it. I haven't even played Titanfall since Advanced Warfare was released. I'll keep this in mind for all future purchases as well. Never again (except for Cod season passes, which I always get my money's worth out of). I'm happy that CAGs are getting it for free though.
