Best Buy Pre-Order Question

So, I am about to place a couple pre-orders for games coming out this year through Best Buy's website.  Now I was curious, does Best Buy charge your credit card when the item ships, or when you make the pre-order?  I can't remember for the life of me how they handle that, so any info is greatly appreciated.

BB has rolling charges for preorders. So it will put a hold on that amount when you preorder, in about 3 days the hold will lift. Then it has reverify the amount some other time before release.
