"Where else can you go where you can fix your computer?"
The Microsoft Store comes to mind.

Seriously though, as a condition of being sold there they remove all the crapware that the OEMs normally install. The prices aren't discount but they frequently have sales.

Great episode as always!

Seriously though, never get a 1st gen product from Apple. The new macbook is an overpriced netbook. Y'all should check out the Asus Zenbook UX305.

Don't even get me started on the Apple Watch....

Haha who thinks y'all are cynical?? Compared to the vast majority of "gamers" and other gaming sties/podcasts y'all aren't very cynical at all, in my opinion.

Cheapy why don't you just buy the 13 inch Retina Macbook Pro? It's bigger than the 11 inch Air and the new 12 Inch Macbook, but it's actually smaller than the 13 Inch Air,just slightly thicker than the Air.
It has all the necessary ports,Retina Screen and is powerful.

I really think the new Macbook is good for travellers only.the lack of ports is a real bummer for any other user, and it's not powerful at all.

and once you used a Mac for a while ,you won't like Windows based laptops by Dell and MS or others trust me on that.
This is actually really good advice. The current 13" MacBook Pro is a great choice. Also, make sure you see what a 12" screen looks like up close. I was tempted to get a Surface Pro 3 until I saw has small they appear to me. For whatever reason, 12" seems a lot smaller than 13" to me.

Those evolve numbers are shocking. They will need to do something to get people back if they want to sell all that DLC.

What other prophecies will Wombat accidentally get right?

The 13" retina MacBook is the best laptop available between the new MacBook, Air and 13" retina.

Killer screen, best specs, great battery life, decent price, is surprisingly sleek considering what you're getting.

I was completely set upgrading from my 2010 13" pro to the Air was I wanted something thinner and lighter. Went with the 13 retina and haven't regretted it once.

APPLE vs DELL. I've been using Macbooks since 2006 and I had to buy a new family laptop last year. This time I decided to go for the macbook killer the DELL XPS15. On paper it is a better machine than the macbook,  it has a higher resolution touch screen display, comprable horse power, and carbon fiber. How does it stack up against a macbook?  Apple wins in aesthetics, quality  (the first XPS I got from amazon had a broken track pad) and OS.  The XPS is great alternative and but I prefer the Apple OS over windows,  but I absolutely hate paying premium Apple prices and not getting premium features like a touch screen display which has been available on windows laptops for years.

I think the lack of ports in the next MacBook isn't really a deal killer considering how much people are putting into the cloud. If anything Apple's newest laptop just sounds like a beefy netbook. People are still going to buy the beautiful thing, so the fact that the next iteration has less hardware features isn't that much of a concern, as long as they're paying through the nose for internet service. One can always buy a Surface Pro, or at least a keyboard attachment to the iPad air.

Cheapy, unless you really need to have the prettiest laptop DON'T get the new Macbook. They use the Core M processor which is pretty under powered compared to the other Macs. You'll be happier with an Air upgrade or a 13" Pro (which is my recommendation for you.)

I love all these recommendations for Macbooks and such. Personally I find all of Apple's products grossly overpriced for what you are getting, essentially you are paying a premium for the Apple name. Granted Mac's are great for what they do, but you can buy a Windows laptop for so much less and you are going to get a faster and more capable machine as well. The only way I could see owning a Mac over a PC being a benefit would be for the Apple software. My recommendation would be to pick up a nice Windows 8 laptop on a deal at Best Buy (you can usually get a pretty good machine for $500 or less) or as someone else suggested buying a Surface Pro 3 (which is also grossly overpriced IMO).

PS4 outsells the Xbone in the NPD again despite being more expensive.  It's not the price that has the PS4 ahead in America and almost 2:1 ahead worldwide.  MS has had price parity or being cheaper since June last year.

Wow there sure was a lot of commentary about Evolve, when only one of the hosts has played it for like what, an hour? Wombat: there are absolutely additional game modes. There is standard Hunt, and Nest, Survivor, and a five-level campaign mode called Evacuation which adds environmental effects depending on which side wins each match. The game is insanely fun, and the "simplified" game play works to its benefit because you can actually feel like you are getting better without having to sink hundreds of hours in to it like your standard Call of Duty. The only problem is that it's incredibly buggy and that is probably affecting the user base more than the perceived lack of gameplay itself. Shipwreck, it's pretty obvious that you aren't a multiplayer shooter type of guy, and that's fine, but I would guess that's why you are less inclined to be interested in it. You guys tend to judge a premise without giving the actual game a fair shake. IMO any premise has the potential to be good if it's executed well, so I try to keep an open mind.

I am pretty sure I did not talk about "introducing myself to a deer and then trying to kiss it" this week.

Haha what?? I actually thought Wombat was ridiculously funny this episode.

Cheapy, 5 workers were killed during the construction of the Empire State Building, not 100s.  At the time, the average was 1 worker per floor, so about 100 workers.  Not too shabby.

Wombat, you are absolutely crazy thinking that Injustice lacks content. The campaign was actually quite good and I wouldn't consider that lacking at all. Especially if you were to compare it to other fighter games like the Street Fighter series and Marvel v. Capcom, Injustice is very ahead of those games in content.

Ehh no thanks to another God of War game. It's too early. They need to work with the system more. A game like that needs to be a powerhouse. I know they already announced it, but kratos feels a little overused after the last 2 games. meh. They need a fresh protagonist and a new mythology. Give me some badass viking dude.

I think you're underestimating Bloodborne but we'll see. I predict scores of 90s and one or two 100s. It will be like souls but also have roguelike elements which is what makes games like binding of isaac so damn addictive. It should be one of the first games they've made that wont have any framerate hiccups on a playstation console at the very least.

If I had an XB1, Ori would be a day 1 buy for me so other free games wouldnt come into play. Neither console really has enough exclusives at this point but it's early.

I agree on the $60 game dlc nonsense. skipped evolve. i want full games. it's sad that alot of the stuff that you used to unlock for beating the game or with hidden codes is now sold  to you.

In defense of NRS, MK9 was one of the most jam pakced fighters i've ever played. So much going for it between the story, challenge tower, online, various modes. It had more single player stuff to do than any other fighter i can think of. I didnt play a whole ton of Injustice but I think MKX will be a good value. Seeing as how im getting it around 35 on launch i wont mind tossing them a few extra bucks on dlc.

Hotline Miami 2 was good not great. Critic scores were a bit generous imo. It was good though. Its got more story than the first game and actually explains the first game's story, but totally leaves the door open for a 3rd game. It seemed like a lot of stuff still wasn't answered. Music overall was not as good as the first game but it has a few tracks that are my favorites between both. Gameplay was improved with new abilities but some of the later levels were annoying.

Looking forward to dates on StarFox WIiU and Zelda WiiU after Bloodborne and MKX which are the only games i can say with certainty im playing on launch day.
