I wanna get pretty much everything of mine hardwired (outside of my phone/tablet). My hub is near my gaming systems and my router is near my computers. So I currently have a hub connected to my router (using a long as cable), and my router connected to my modem.
In doing this, I can hardware my devices to my hub and connect other things wirelessly to my router without issue. But for some reason, I can't hardwire anything to my router. The ports on my router are fine and the wireless works fine, but anything else I hardwire to my router (just my router) doesn't work.
Anyone have any idea as to why? I tried googling this but the results are mostly useless and only deal with explaining what a hub vs switch vs router are or how to use a router/hub/switch, etc.
