Says can't be used to buy games and software downloads. Kinda kills 90% of what I buy
The Amazon.com Store Card or the Amazon Prime Store Card can be used for any purchase at Amazon.com with the exception of Amazon Prime memberships, digital newspaper and magazine subscriptions, and games and software downloads.

I think Amazon is just referring to digital downloads. If you buy physical games or software(tax, office, windows, etc..) from Amazon, the 5% should apply.

Good intro offer :) When I signed up for the store card they didn't have any promotions going :( I'd still choose 6-month-to-pay, but 5% is good on purchases under that!

Is the 5% permanent or an introductory rate?
As long as you have a "paid" prime membership the 5% is permanent; doesn't mean they won't at some point drop or cancel the offer.

I'm trying to figure out if it is from all purchases on Amazon, even FBA or amazon marketplace sales

I use Amazon all the time.

However, I'm 20 and I have not had a credit card yet. Does anyone have any reason why this is not worth getting or if this card has some hidden fees? My plan was to just buy stuff with this card and immediately pay it off.

No hidden fees from what I've seen, having had one for a few years. I always pay it off as soon as I use it.

It has qualified on everything I've tried so far. I've recently purchased a bunch of used CDs from third parties (no prime fulfillment) and even those qualified.

The store card isn't so bad.  I've been rebuilding my credit for a couple years and got the Amazon card when my Fico was around 550.  Started with a cool $800 limit, and yes you can charge your prime memberships to the card...
