I'm researching for a friend who is looking for something to stream Netflix with. Extras are fine, but Netflix would be to only streaming service being subscribed to (no Hulu, Prime, etc.) doesn't need to be super-fancy. Just something reliable and easy to use. This is for an older couple without much tech experience so the simpler the better.

I only ever use my TV or game consoles for streaming so don't know much about all the different Roku's out there. Doesn't need to be Roku-brand so if a Google Chrome or similar thing would be cheaper that would work - if it's reliable.

If it matters, their TV has HDMI but no USB. Getting power from wall outlet is not a problem though.

Thanks for any help!

+1 on the  Amazon Fire Stick, but lots of folks like Chromecast too.

And if you're a Best Buy My Rewards member, you get 3X points on the purchase of the Chromecast.

Like I said, Netflix will be the only service that will be used on this. Having Prime is inconsequential.

I know I've seen devices in the $25-30 range and was hoping for something closer to that.

If its an older couple either the amazon fire stick for $40 bucks or getting a roku stick $50. Is the way to go, A chromecast may be too complicated and having a remote is nice for the fire stick/roku.
