Boo, I was hoping for a more impressive ad this week. Was thinking it's about time for certain other games to start hitting that 19.99 or 29.99 price point, but not so. Okay, I can open this copy of Shadow of Mordor that I bought this week then, I was holding onto it just in case there was a better use for the money this week.
Interesting to see the 50% off guides. That was my final GCU welcome coupon that I didn't manage to use before it expired. Still don't think there's a guide that I need, but at least if something comes to mind I can get the same deal that the coupon would have gotten me.
Intrigued by the PS3 trade in offer for XB1. I have been playing a lot of PS3 games trying to get the final use out of it before I get rid of it. Told myself when I got the PS4 that the PS3 was gonna have to go to help pay for it. Then all of a sudden all these offers started for $175 trade in values and I wish I had just been able to do that rather than be faced with selling it on eBay and having to ship out some huge box. This leads me to wonder if I would get a better return on my money if I let Best Buy sell me an X1 through a deal like this, get a bunch of points for buying it, and then sell the X1 and hope to recoup my money, and if I'd have an easier time doing that than trying to get the same $175 value for my PS3 and assortment of games through an online auction. Probably too many moving parts even though I might come out with a few more dollars compared to just selling the PS3. And I'd probably feel the urge to keep the X1 for myself lol.
