While technically not an official Ghibli release, the animation is by Ghibli, and it was written and directed by Isao Takahata, the co-founder (with Miyazaki) of the studio. It shares the distinctive Ghibli style, and made Roger Ebert's Great Movies list. One of the best animes ever, but I'm warning you, this is, without a doubt, one of the most depressing movies ever made.

I've never seen it but I've heard nothing but good things about this anime film.

I went ahead and put an order in. Came out to $5.41 total with a $5 rewards certificate I had and free shipping from being a Elite member. Sweet!

It is a great film and anyone that enjoys Ghibli should have it. I'm glad it came back in stock at BB and put my order in as well. When is your arrival date? Mine is saying May 6th. Sucks that I lost Elite Plus as UPS got that junk to me in 2 days. Now that I'm Elite I get stuff in about a week cause it is UPS MI.

I don't like how they changed the threshold to $3500 for elite plus, makes it a little hard to reach that unless your buying more expensive merchandise.

Yeah that part sucked. I wish was still $1500 for Elite Plus. Heck even $2000 - $2500 would be a bit more tolerable.
People say, hey...apply for the BB CC. But not all of us can. haha

I don't like these PRIME only deals, if they have these type of deals they should stop copying other big name stores sales.
