In the middle of listening to this and wombat's kingpin voice is on point and I think cheapy is on to something. Can we get a theme park episode with daredevil being a dick and cutting lines because he makes people feel bad for his disabilities.

The problem with the Skyrim Mods was that people were creating mods based on the work on previous mods. So if I made a hat model, and then someone changed the color of the hat, they could sell that hat and I would get no money. The other problem was that companies would get paid for releasing buggy games, and then a mod would fix the game, sell a mod patch, and the company gets 50% revenue for a patch that fixes the game you already paid for.

Also, not all mods work together, it's not like DLC. It's a big mess.

Best show you guys ha--seriously, the best show you've ever done. #BestShowEver #CASthagh #CAGcast #Cheapy #E3 #Hashtag #SponsorsAndGiveaways

Major Nelson's comments aren't as moderated as you think. Everything goes up automatically except if you add a links, which need approval. They only remove cursing and threats. They leave negative comments in, even the dumb ones.

That's just Vincent D'Nofrio. He spoke like that in Law & Order: Criminal Intent too.
Nah, it's very Edgar than Goren. I laughed at that part in the podcast.

Holy hell this show is pretty violent, and it's mostly because you have to savor the brutality of it, fear it, not so much enjoy it. I watched the clip where Kingpin loses it, and you end up feeling for the guy getting his ass kicked.

I agree with Cheapy and Wombat, a donate button for modders to make some cash is an excellent idea. The problem is proving ownership for a mod. If a person steals a mod and sells it, the creator is left without compensation.

One more thing, the sixth ingredient for the six-way would be the healthier, spicy option, the jalapenos. I side with Shipwreck, bacon would overwhelm the chilli.

What if instead of bacon, Shipwreck makes it with pork belly as the main meat? Not beef.

I'm with Wombat on Batman Arkham Knight.  I was super-hyped when it was announced but everything since then
looks like a combination of bad ideas and big studio douchbaggery.

I understand that they have to try to find ways to expand on the previous games, but reading that there will be
DLC racetracks makes me trust the Batmobile implementation even less.  I can already imagine all
the "race to the objective" and "beat Mr. X at a race" missions that will probably suck compared to an actual
racer like Forza Horizon 2.

Since I refuse to pre-order anything except Nintendo, I'm already going to miss out on a bunch of content, then
adding a non-specific $40 season pass that includes crap like car skins and racetracks just reminds me that these big studios will do anything to squeeze money out of fans.  I've been burned too often in the past and this stuff just kills my enthusiasm.

Given all that, I love the Arkham games and I doubt I'll have the willpower to hold out for the inevitable GOTY
edition - but these days $20 price drops happen faster than you can finish the campaign and that seems very do-able right now.

Also. . . driving a long skinny car similar to a limo does not sound like fun to me. I am not sure why people think we want to drive the batmobile in games. It's too long.

I have gone through 2 Xbox One controllers since launch.  For reference I did not break a single Xbox 360 controller during my 9 years of ownership. Both left thumb sticks on my Xbox One controllers shit the bed. . . they are poorly made.

Ha, Shipwreck's Nintendo amiibo news is a month old. :p
I was thinking the same thing.. I listen to podcasts in bursts and I had paused right before the Yoshi Amiibo discussion. When I started listening today I thought I had clicked an older episode.

Just a quick note of appreciation. I listen to maybe 12 video game podcasts and all of them this week went on and on about steam and mods. 80% of 2 hour shows were steam talk. This show was a breath of fresh air this week!

It's the perfect example of why I prefer the personal stories, BS ramblings than the serious video game news discussions.

And Wombat's Fisk impression killed me!

Thanks guys.

I listen to 3 video game podcasts per week (CAG, Bombcast and RebelFM) and I thought that was a lot, 12 is nuts :).

With that said, I agree 100%. I like the personal stories in the CAGcast and I appreciate that the guys are not in the industry (cheapy is sort of in the industry i guess. . . but you get my point).

Allowing donations instead of selling mods was exactly what I thought they should have done. Then maybe have an easy way to flag mods if it's stolen from somewhere else.

Overall this was a pretty good show. #BreadisOne

Maybe they can "hold" the donations for a month to allow for dispute resolution - as a suggestion.

Like others have mentioned, Wombat's Edgar as Kingpin impression was pretty awesome.  I was laughing out loud at that one.

Great show guys!

I looked its actually 9, however some don't release a show every week (Call of Podcast, 8-4 play etc). I like when the guys chat about the news, but they don't dwell and spent way too long discussing the topic to death like other shows.

Race the Sun has been out since last year. Murasaki Baby and Ether One are the new games for PS+. Wombat would probably like the Children's Story Book style of The Unfinished Swan's story. It's not a Move game at all, though it works great with Move.

Wombat, Microsoft has been repeating one of the Xbox One titles for the following month since they started that, so you must have missed that happening for the past year or so. They add one new title for Xbox One and two for Xbox 360.

Wombat's advocating for a Pay What You Want system for Steam Mods? If it's like any other part of the internet, people will just pay nothing if that's allowed. The problem was starting this new system with a game that had an established Steam Workshop ecosystem, so it worked as well as Microsoft trying to get PC gamers to start paying for online multiplayer with Games For Windows Live. It'll return with an implementation in new titles to avoid that issue. Games like Team Fortress 2 and Dota 2 have let users sell their user-made items for years now and done it really well, so it's a matter of doing it right and most people will be fine with it.

Some info on the background for Never Alone from Wikipedia:

The game also known as Kisima Inŋitchuŋa was developed by Upper One Games in conjunction with the Cook Inlet Tribal Council, a non-profit organization that works with indigenous groups living in Alaska's urban areas. The Council met with video game education company E-Line Media and generated the idea for Never Alone as part of a series that "shares, celebrates, and extends culture". The Council's for-profit Upper One Games is the "first indigenous-owned video game developer and publisher in US history". They built the game to explore "what it means to be human" and intergenerational stories. It is intended both to share the stories of native culture as entertainment, and to revitalize interest in Alaskan indigenous folklore. Proceeds from the game will fund the Council's education mission.

E-Line creative director Sean Vesce was excited by the idea and challenge of leaving his cubicles where "a bunch of white guys" discuss fictional fantasies and instead work to build a game around a community's "values and mythologies". He had previously held leadership positions at Crystal Dynamics and Activision. They built a 12-member development team in Seattle, who worked with a group of Alaska Native community storytellers and artists to craft the game. The development team's writer was an Alaskan Native.

I thought Arkham City was a much better game than Asylum.  I did not like the limits they placed on the game in Asylum. It felt too cramped and the best moment in Asylum was when you finally got outside and could move about.  The whole dlc thing has been way blown out of proportion.  All WB was announce the thing that everyone with a brain knows is coming out anyway.  Gamers just can not handle real transparency about their games.

Nothing Cheapy said made me think the Apple watch was worth getting. I can't believe I was nodding in agreement when Wombat said "But my phone can do all of that already".

Does it have a feature where it sounds an alarm if you get to far away from the iPhone it's paired with? That would be good for the next time Cheapy leaves his phone somewhere.

Havent had a chance to listen to the episode yet, but are you guys going to boycott Batman Arkham Knight on release for its $40 season pass like you did with Evolve? These season passes are really getting out of hand.

Edit: HAHA I called it. First topic of the episode. Nailed it. I'm also now thinking of waiting on the game.... $100 on release? And less than a year later there will probably be a goty version with dlc bundled.

100% agreement on robobatman. I like him to rely on his wits and ninja skills

I don't mind MKX. I play it a little bit every other day. There's so much to learn that if you're really into fighting games youll want to develop your skills day by day.

Get a 2-3yr warranty on the watch in my opinion. Apple products are impossible to repair yourself since you can't open them up. Planned Obsolescence. I had an ipod nano break after 1 year days after the limited warranty from gentle use.

Lots of modders already provide a way to donate to them, generally via PayPal. Most people don't bother donating, though. I think the biggest issue with the paid mods was that no one wants to start paying for something that has been free for years upon years. I myself am a pretty avid mod-user, and I would never pay for mods. I also don't donate. I'm incredibly cheap - hence why I'm here.
