This was found at WalMart.com and is also available for instore pickup.  You can get a 2 year repair plan for $14 extra (not sure how they do on electronics but we had coverage on a bike and it was easy to return).

Beats TRU / BB / Target, etc. by $30.

I know that not too many of us have need for this but I am in need of replacing my console and I've got my old 250 gb drive ready to install.  I'm sure others are in the same boat.  You can be sure the price will be lower during Christmas time (again) but this is good for now!

Best current deal, but still hugely meh for the 4GB. As you suggest - only if you are knee deep in 360 games and your old one craps out does this make sense.

I actually can't believe they haven't dropped the MSRP for all these last gen systems yet - same with Wii-U. All of those old systems should have $100 lopped off the MSRP price. I guess some people must still buy them or something, seems kinda crazy to me.

Yeah, crazy that people still want really good systems at a fair price that there are still good games for. Crazy.

Last gen the sub-$100 price point wasn't until 30 months after the introduction of the next gen (for PS2, Xbox never hit that officially?). So, check back April of next year.

My commentary is that the $199 MSRP is ridiculous for the 4GB system. It's the 4GB that should probably be breaching $100 at retail - I'm not (yet) suggesting <$100 for the 500GB model. Although it as well as the PS3 should both probably be around $149-179 at this point tops considering the deals on XB1.

Anyway didn't mean to crap on the OP deal, I mean it is the best price currently and he's just giving a heads up. I'm just ranting about the MSRP's. I am mostly over last gen, and in fact I just got rid of my 360 (due to excellent Amazon trade bonus towards PS4). I did still have some 360 games I would finish, but to get a replacement the deals would have to be miles better even than black friday bundles.
