Also, contrary to what the website says, these versions are available at other retailers (Walmart for example).

I actually think some of these come with UV copies. I saw a bunch of these in Walmart recently (haha @Best Buy Only) and I swear that Machete had a sticker on the case advertising that it had an ultra violet copy. I think some of these also come with exclusive Posters, I know Alien does anyway.

That said, these are just slip covers over the standard blu-ray cases.

 
Some retailers have slipcovers of these and some have faceplates.  Sounds like Best Buy has faceplates then?

 
I believe the faceplate is just a little cardboard cutout of the art that's glued to the regular BR cover, while the slipcover would be something covering both the front, sides and back of the package.  I have generally avoided faceplates since I'm not sure if they would damage the packaging/artwork if you remove the faceplate.
