Discussion: Do You Still Have Your Last-Gen Consoles Hooked Up?

Still have 360 (R2-D2) and PS3 Slim hooked up and use them frequently.  If you're Gold / PSN+ subscribers, why not get the monthly freebie games that go with it?

My son?  He's completely forsaken last-gen machines.  Not sure if that's a generational thing or what.  I'll be interested to see results of this when more votes have been cast.

Still play my PS3. Plus I use it to play my mezzmo stream. There are some great games to play on the 3 still. I would not buy a new title as it will be better on the 4. Not to mention my Panzer/Allied General fixes.

Yeah. I don't think I'll ever disconnect my 360 just because of how many games I have on it. And it would seem like I'm giving up on a pretty big backlog.

Right now I'm mainly playing my PS3. I'm sucked in to Persona 3 FES. I don't feel the current-gen line up is lacking. I just happen to be playing a last-gen game right now. Actually, a game from two gens ago. I don't think poorly about my other consoles while my focus is on one of them.

I still have my PS3 hooked up and play it regularly. My Wii is hooked up in the bedroom but that's for Netflix. I'll play Wii games on the WiiU in the living room. I've still got a backlog of last gen games that I'm playing through. I don't pre order or buy day one very often. I play the games I have while waiting for price drops. Bloodborne is the only game I've bought on release so far this year. I also still play my older consoles. Everything from NES up to the curent ones, but those are not hooked up unless I'm playing through something. I have four cabinets in the living room, and store my consoles in one when they're not hooked up so it's not a big deal to get to them when I want to play something retro. That reminds me. Been thinking of playing through Mega Man X Command Mission on Gamecube, so I'll probably hook that one up next weekend.

Even owning both current-gen consoles I have been playing both my PS3 and Xbox 360 lately. Slowly trying to tackle the backlog I created over the years. Don't see that ever happening as I keep adding games to each console.

I know how you feel. Once I open a sealed game I've had for 2 years to finally play it (in my case Splinter Cell Conviction), 2 more take it's place (Gran Turismo 5 and Call of Duty Ghosts)

My 360 is still hooked up. PS3 is long sold. I imagine that I will move my 360 from the main TV to a smaller one by the years end.

Not only are last gen consoles still hooked up, I have Y cables onto my TV inputs so that consoles all the way back to N64 are still hooked up. (Old stuff still hooked up includes: N64, Gamecube, PS2, PS3.)

YES!

Exactly! Just bought Okami HD and now I'm interested in Twisted Metal: Black and Twisted Metal PS3 but I'm about to get rid of the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy. It's like an endless cycle.

I think it's unanimous. No one can justify ditching the PS3/360 and probably won't be able to for a long, long time. With such massive libraries of games and a lifetime of enjoyment these 2 fantastic game consoles can offer, I feel like the PS4/XB1 will be left behind before the PS3 and 360

Still have my PS3 and 360 hooked up, because there's a few most games I wanna play on those before I unplug them and move on to the PS4/WiiU.

I usually have at least 1 retro console hooked up too... currently, it's an N64.

I still play my last gen consoles a lot. I still have my PS2 hooked up so I can play some classics when I'm tired of all of the new games.

I still have my PS3 and 360 hooked up as well. Play a good bit of PS3 while 360 is more casual these days (although I have a number of big games I'd love to replay on it)

We have my ps3, WiiU, and x360 in the living room. While my XB1 and PS4 are both in the rec room. I also have the Retron 5 and N64 hooked up in the Rec room, they are connected to a different display I use for my PC. And my son has a 360 in his room and my daughter has a Wii and OG Xbox in her room. My wife has a PS2 hooked up in our bedroom, mainly for Crash Bandicoot.

I just got the xbox one, but my 360 will stay hooked up and being played for a long time to come, I'm not about to just pass up the 900+ games on the system I haven't played just to move on to "bigger and better" things.

Jesus Christ. I thought I had too many systems. What's that 9 (you mentioned)? Not counting PSPs, DS/3DSs, GBs, etc.

Humm something like that lol. I have a Vita and New3ds also. I gotta say though, really the only things I use are the ps4 and xb1. My son plays his 360 daily and my daughter rarely plays her Wii. Just recently set up the Retron and n64 but we've played a few times together.

Was gonna buy my son a ps4 his 11th b day next month, but we decided to wait until Xmas.

Still playing my PS3.  Haven't seen anything I want on the newer systems just yet.  I'll most likely get my son a Wii U and end up skipping this round of consoles myself.  Besides, my backlog is pretty horrendous hahaha!

I only have the PS3 and I am still loving the games. Don't see a reason to goto PS4 until all my must-play PS3 games are done, including AC:Rogue, Sleeping Dogs, and Wolfenstein the New Order

Still playing my PS3 a lot, but my 360 gets very little playtime because it doesn't read discs anymore. I still use my 360 from time to time to watch digital stuff, but other than that it really doesn't get any play.

I had my Wii plugged up too, until this week. I just finally unplugged it and exiled it to the closet.

Neither system is backwards compatible, so yes. The Wii-U is backwards-compatible with the Wii, so I don't keep my original Wii hooked up. The PS3 is still my go-to media device. (home video streaming, you-tube, and Blu-Ray playback) So it still gets plenty of use. The 360 has a healthy number of quality exclusives, as well as a number of games that perform better, so it will also remain hooked up for quite some time.

Also, thanks to the lowering costs of screens, it is likely that when I retire my current TV I will simply hook it up in another room. Any excess systems will likely just migrate with it.
