Gamestop Buy 2 PSP Preowned Games Get 2 PSP Games Free InStore

CAGiversary!
just walked into local gamestop and saw buy 2 get 2 free preowned psp games sign. I asked the cashier to print out a list of all the psp games they had in stock and was able to highlight the ones i wanted. he was able to grab the games. most of the games were not complete and was just in sleeves. I did get a complete daxter though.

I will be checking my other local gamestops to see what else is available.

What am I suppose to do with these PSP games after I acquire them? Do i just throw them @ the GS employee for announcing my trade in credit amount to the world?

so is this one of those things where you have to interact with the employees? because i try to do that as little as possible and all the psp games disappeared a month ago.

I'm hoping for it. My store has Persona 2, but the rest of the games are garbage.
I had a copy of P2... Traded it for a NIB Ike amiibo and a few NES games. Then, went down the street to my local GS and bought their "used" copy of P2 for 12 bucks. It was still sealed. Gotta love that new to preowned conversion.

b2g2 is not good enough?  C'mon guys... Thanks for the info OP, there's almost nothing left at my GS and that's where all the psp games went to from around the district.  I'll check for some decent leftovers.

Cool!

I'll call my store and ask about it, then tell them I won't buy any because they threw away all the cases.

It's not. Because I only want one game.

This is the problem I have. At any of the GameStops in my area (and there are several) I seriously doubt that I could find 4 PSP games that I want to buy. This is partially my fault, I've done fairly well by my PSP collection, so there aren't all that many titles left for me to collect. But a big part of it is the pitiful selection of PSP games available at GameStop. Also, the deplorable condition that you usually find them in. At every GameStop I go to, 90% of the PSP games don't have their original boxes. This isn't the NES era. The boxes aren't made of paper.

It's okay. I can imagine. I would also own some of those trashy psp games. When they're 75% off.
It's been a fun year piling up the UMDs. I even found a He-Man UMD at a "graveyard" GS earlier this week was like...wat? It's complete in case with artwork? When does this happen with GS?

Speaking of trashy, have you acquired Hanna Montana yet?
Still waiting; it's not low enough yet - $75 and I don't even get the packaging...I'm not even sure if the HM game will come with it. Maybe when I pile enough Amazon credit I'll pick it up anyway.

When I do I'll put Charlotte McKinney up as that PSP's wallpaper.

damn it.  I just bought like 9 games two weeks ago.    it was b2g1f but this would have been better deal.     oh well time to go clean up some more psp games for the back log

Seriously, thank you for unintentionally making me Google Charlotte McKinney! My life is just a lit bit better now. :)

Wait they still sell PSP games? I have not been in any of the 3 GS near me in months and they did not have any used back then. Not worth going to look as I have any games I would want...

I'm holding out for a 75% off sale as well.

Here's how I checked what PSP games GameStop has or doesn't have:

http://www.gamestop.com/browse/sony-psp?nav=28xp0,1388-17e

It's easy to get spoiled with a modded PSP and a PC capable of emulating PSP games though.  Still, if the games are cheap enough and available I usually buy them.

I thought GameStop 75% off sales occur when the systems are 2 generations behind?  That's what I was told during the PS2 75% off sale, which was around the time the PS4 came out.

I wish my Vita could play these.  If they did, I'd buy up the remaining ones from my local store.

If only the Vita had the 3rd party support that the PSP did... man I played through 3 PSPs because I literally played them to death back in high school.

They go buy 2 get 1, buy 2 get 2, then 75% off.

The PSP was a life saver when I was going through my job training in the military. I actually forgot I still had it until I read this thread. I feel like dusting it off and buying a bunch of UMD movies for shits and giggles. I think the PSP was the only reason why I watched Lords of Dogtown.

I still remember when my friend (who was later in the Army---not sure of your branch) got his PSP, the guy at Gamestop said "it even includes Lords of Dogshit for free."

How long is this deal going on? I highly doubt there will be any good games left for the 75% off sale.

Nogales has TONS of them. I need to duck back in there and grab a handful... I love me some PSP. It's a way underrated system.

It's not underrated at all. Sales trailed the Nintendo DS but PSP sales figures are impressive too. Now, software sales for the system are another story.

Looks like PS2 games went to B2G2 in August or September 2013, and went 75% off near the start of January 2014.

So probably about 3-5 months depending on how they decide to pace this.

Just a heads up went to 2 gamestop locations asking for this deal..And both said the deal does not exist??? So this may be a ymmv at your local store

Yeah i went up and he rang me him up and he was charging me full regular price?? I told him about the deal, he looked into it...i guess checking the current promos and he said, nope nothing here man sorry about that???

So that is what happend yesterday when i went

Which is odd, because it's definitely on their website as a deal, and all of my stores have said that it's a thing.  Sadly, one of the guys at my local "Oh no we don't go there it's in a bad part of town" gamestop already bought out all the good games that had sat unnoticed for months.

I honestly think January 2016. Ps2 was January 2014 GameCube was January 2013 gba was January 2012 etc...

Seems like most GS employees don't know about the deal.  I checked my local yesterday and the employee seemed shocked.  Not his fault, really.  I can't imagine that they care too much for pushing PSP titles out, even at these prices.

That said, give your locals stores a look if you care at all.  I ended up getting a copy of Phantasy Star Portable complete in box, which shocked the heck out of me.

Ya, it definitely applies automatically. Doesn't go until the 4th game is put in so if only 3 are rung up it will still show all 3 at full price. Once the 4th is rung up the two cheapest go free. I got... a lot today. I hit 5 Gamestops and grabbed a total of 36 titles (8 at 4 and 4 at another). 35 are new to me, the other is one of a small amount of value I needed since one of the games on my list (Mega Man Maverick Hunter X :() got sold an hour before I got there. Still a few more I want but not close enough to be worth the drive. May call a few stores tomorrow to see about getting them shipped though.
