I don't preorder anymore unless it's a rare edition... that I actually want.

I haven't purchased a single game at $69.99 or higher. Last purchase was FFX/X-2 for PS4, Limited Edition, $49.99 at Microplay... that's excluding digital share purchases here on CAG.

Bestbuy sucks for me for a major reason: I can't seem to add more than one thing to cart. It's always spinning trying to find stock in stores.

Anyway I want to preorder all that XSEED goodness.

33% off two years ago, 30% off last year after the first price hike, and 20% off this year after a second price hike.  I'll still probably pre-order as many games as I can through them, but the discount is now insignificant enough that a retailer-exclusive pre-order bonus from somewhere else will be enough to pull me away from Best Buy.

This blows.  I'll likely still pre-order some games, but I'll be far more selective this time around.  Ugh.

It's not like 30% off would be any better either. With Ps4/Xbox One/Wii U games costing $70-$80 now, and even 3DS/Vita games being $60+ as well, we'd need a better deal.

Best Buy sucks for pre-ordering niche games anyway. I've lost count of how many times I pre-ordered in advance, only to have them show my order was backordered.

Yeah, the BB E3 deal is kinda weak this year. Oh well better than nothing. But I'm thinking more and more, I should stop buying video games Day 1. I just need to learn to live playing my massive back catalogue and just pickup games digitally, on sale, when I have time to play them.

Amazon.ca has a semi limited selection of pre orders gone live for their E3 sale.

Some games like the Ratchet & Clank remake (as mentioned in another thread) has not been touched yet with the price hike making it from $40 to $32 or $28 depending on how many games you pre order.

amazon.ca e3 list of games

notes from rfd

Even if u select the group items together option they will still ship all 3 items separately

some games are still 69.99 (deus ex/FF/kingdom hearts)

God of war remastered only $39.99 minus 30% is sweet same with ratchet and clank

Pretty much same deal as last year as expected....

I am just really glad that i had some pre-orders from last year have not been released yet, as sad as it sounds.

titles were like 59.99, +10% discounts, +pre-order promo running all at the same time, got like uncharted, tomb raider, mad max for 33 dollars after all discounts...it was good times...

if only we had a time machine

What a disappointing E3 deal this year. I was hoping for a bigger discount, considering  Ps4/Xbox One and Wii U games are $75+, while Vita and 3DS are $50+.

They say no limited editions but I can apply it just fine on the "Onechanbara Z2 Chaos Banana Split Edition" and "Senran Kagura 2 Deep Crimson Double D Edition" :)

Is there any indication that this code can only be used once per customer?  Am I safe to do a pre-order for a few titles now, and then use the same code again later this week when more games are added to the promo?

While the Bestbuy deal isn't as good, they have a better selection (including some stuff that was announced a while ago that Amazon is oddly missing).

Notable titles I spotted:

Corpse Party LE

Tales Of Zestiria

Project X Zone 2

Popolocrois

You have to hop through some weird hoops to get the Bestbuy deal. They have to give you coupon codes, which limit you to one order a day.

Thanks for this thread. Been busy over the past month. Any collector's editions I should be looking to add to my cart? I have pretty much the same taste as most of you, eg. Nintendo, Atlus, XSEED, etc.

$34.99 is actually the normal price for the physical copy. Surprised it took Amazon this long to discount it, considering other retailers like EBGames had it at that price for awhile.

Here's a google spreadsheet showing which games are available and which games are not YET available (because amazon's slow at adding them)

>Legend of Legacy not included.

Ugh. I wanted to add this with Stella Glow.

More stuff on Bestbuy, but not on Amazon:

Final Fantasy VII (PS4)

World of Final Fantasy

Sword Art Online: Lost Song

I wouldn't bite on FF7 at $80 without Amazon price protection.

Just want to confirm the details of Amazon's E3 deal, as I've never pre-ordered anything from Amazon. I assume that when I check-out my cart of pre-orders, I'll be charged per game on the game's release date?

Also, how do returns, in general, work for Amazon? Just return it in the mail? The good thing about Best Buy last year was the ease of returns.

Well, I know I said earlier that I wouldn't preorder... but some of those trailers truly won me over. I'm now waiting on the following titles... plus 30% off helps with new higher prices, especially for us Canadian folks.

Final Fantasy XV (PS4)

Mario Maker (Wii U)

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (PS4)
Rainbow Six Siege (PS4)
Ratchet & Clank (PS4)

STAR WARS Battlefront (PS4)

The Legend of Zelda (Wii U)

Edit: I see Rainbow Six Siege already jumped up $8 compared to last night. Was going to cancel and put all seven games in a single order but guess I'll keep that old order in that case.

correct on your first question.

for amazon, you request for a shipping label, then ship it, they process, you get money back.

return info here: http://www.amazon.ca/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=cheapassgamers01-20&camp=15121&creative=390961&linkCode=ur2&nodeId=201515540&qid=1434502981&sr=8-1-acs

No Stella Glow or Legend of Legacy. Sigh, no one seems to let you pre-order Legend of Legacy during this deal.

ebgames has GoW Ultimate for 49.99 instead of amazon's 79.99

and the rare collection for 29.99 instead of 39.99

hope amazon.ca eventually sync's up

I dont know how you found uncharted collection but thank you.

Was hoping Darksiders for PS4 and Talos Principle would be added...

That's why you throw your Amazon orders in now. They will price match, and give you the 30% off on top still. All automatically.

I have faith
In Bestbuy? Why would you? In the past if the MSRP drops you had to phone them to get corrections, and they never would want to honor the % off on the new price.

They're both up on Amazon.

Edit: Wait Legend of Legacy isn't discounting for some odd reason. Maybe it'll be fixed tomorrow.

i have faith in amazon getting more titles :p

Oh, I'm sure they're going to add more stuff. But I'm also sure they're going to miss stuff. That's why I keep comparing. Corpse Party should've been on Amazon a week ago when it was announced. I highly doubt SAO will pop, seeing them missing older Namco stuff. If you write "bravely" into Amazon they'll suggest bravely second, and don't have it up... I'm sure they'll add that though :)

I know, but I meant Legend of Legacy isn't part of Amazon's E3 promo. I wanted to pre-order Project X Zone 2 and Legend of Legacy during this deal, but I doubt they'll add them by now.

Honestly, if Best Buy was giving us 30% off I would pre-order from them instead. But, it seems both are missing Legends of Cold Steel and Persona 5.

Seems they have some titles that can't ship to Quebec, which is odd considering other retailers have no issues bringing them over here.

They must have taken it down for some odd reason. All I found was Persona 4 Golden.

Edit: Best Buy has Trails of Cold Steel, but it says it can't be shipped to Quebec.

If Amazon doesn't add it to their site and E3 promotion, looks like I'll be stuck buying it at full price.

I put my order through. I'm still missing a few games, but even with a couple PC titles and mostly just Nintendo, it range up to nearly $700 AFTER savings. Much as Sony's content at E3 impressed me, I can't handle dropping $400 and the price of games on their console. I can barely stomach new handheld release prices at this point.

Wow... LOL. Suddenly I don't feel too bad about $370 for myself..

Edit: My cost jumped a tad... I watched the Star Fox trailer. It's like Star Fox 64 HD... I can't NOT have that!

... I'm at $1115 plus still waiting on about $800 (pre-discount) of stuff just on sale at Bestbuy. About half of which I'll definitely buy if they don't pop on Amazon. Dragon Quest Heroes day one edition most notably. So I'm gonna hit around $1500.

Anyone else notice that Amazon has caught up on a few games, but hasn't offered discounts? Shovel Knight most notably, it's multi-platform and pretty overpriced @ $40. Also Amazon added Corpse Party for $85 without a discount (BB has it for $60 - 20%).

Edit: Placed a $590 Bestbuy order. There's some questionable stuff in it that I may cancel or return though. But it's far easier to do that than it is to order anything a week from now.

Was hoping Darksiders for PS4 and Talos Principle would be added...
I just typed in "uncharted" in the search bar and there was a big banner up top for it.
