sort of lackluster, eh?  it's just a 2 tone grey controller... dunno what I was expecting,  but it was certainly more then that!   where's the "pizazz" that accompanies, like, every special edition controller?   Even the stupid xbox special forces camouflage controller looks like it took more effort to design then this thing.

Thanks for posting, though, I'm glad I had a chance to look and see if I wanted to buy it while it's still available.  I'm sure it will still sell out.

It kinda just looks like the white one with the old school PS logo on the PS button. Not sure I'll jump on it for $65. Maybe they'll be onsale on black friday.

They're not gonna be limited are they?

nice!

will try and PO this inshore tomorrow. info needs to update more. still needs release date. really hope its a limited run.

This is what I want to know. Worth going after if they're not going to make a lot. If it's being added to the DS4 lineup alongside all the other offerings (which it should be), then I'll wait.

"and will be only available for a very limited time."

Newegg appears to have sold out already. Would prefer ordering from Best Buy anyway. Got in an order for one in case these will be difficult to get since I really want it.

not sure why companies are starting to push controllers over 50 dollars its getting kinda ridiculous that slapping a color or a "anniversary" label on it jumps it up to 64.99 plus tax.

The one that came with the consoles is really nice as it has the symbols etched into the pad but this is just the color of that one and does not have those otherwise I'm sure someone could come up with some reason to sue Sony over it.

Torn. The appeal of the 20th is strong, but I've otherwise moved way past that. Think I would rather have a white one.

I think it might actually have more appeal if it stayed in the box.

The white one is awesome. I want this one too. Honestly the coolest 20th anniversary Playstation thing I own is the mini game consoles. That box was well worth it.

I'll never understand why Sony doesn't like money. People obviously WANT PSX colored items and are willing to whip out a lot of money for them, but Sony insists on making them limited. How many more PS4 units would be in homes if the anniversary one was just a standard color variant? How many of these gray DS4 would be bought if they were as typical as the blue, red, and camo DS4s? Just isn't logical to me.

Thankfully this controller isn't identical to the ones in the anniversary set. I bought the collectors system. The controller touch pad has small print of the 20x logo all over it. From all pics, these just have the regular touch pad from the normal ps4 controllers. I may be nit picking, but I'm proud I was able to get my 20th anniversary system, and don't want the collector value of any piece lowered due to mass producing.

I still have a Blue Dual Shock PS4 in the box from when I bought two price matching them from sears for $30. I'm buying the batman PS4 bundle and it comes with a chrome controller. Didn't think I would be a person to collect controllers. Anyone who collects PS3/4 controllers ever make a profit selling a collection?

I'm disappointed it doesn't, I would really like to use mine from the set, but I don't for fear of fuck ing it up. It would've been nice too, because you could have matching pair for the console without getting raped on Ebay.

Why do people act like they don't know when its coming out? The PS1 released in the US on  September 9th, that's a Wednesday this year. Will likely release that day or the 8th, a Tuesday with Tearaway.

Its easy to see folks

I don't get it.  Slap a color on it and call it limited edition, anniversary, different, whatever and people go crazy.  Sigh whatever.  Show me a better design then I will have interest.

Mass produce this one and make one with the "XSquareTriangle2Circle" pattern on it somewhere as the limited edition.  I had a PSOne so I might just someday slap a Playstation symbol on a white PS4 controller. lol

I just buy the decals for my controllers from flamingtoast.com.  I might pick this one up for shits and giggles, throw on the touchpad decal.

Any idea as to why the Gamers Club 20% doesn't apply? Isn't it supposed to be for games and accessories? I mean, even amiibo get 20% knocked off

Hardware/accessories aren't included in GCU. No idea why amiibo are included (but I'm grateful).

alternatively, if you enjoy activities such as setting fire to a pile of cash

there are now pre-orders available on ebay for this exact model for $200+

so have at it

Looks cool, but damn I wish they would move the PS button out from between the twin sticks.  I've had my thumb slip and get me killed in Bloodborne SO many times.  I don't know what they would do with it, but they could come up with something, like the front of the controller.  Is there anyway to disable it or alter the functionality?

Same! Had they "cheapened" what we got with our 20th Anniv systems I would have been pissed.

is this stuff limited or not? had it been mentioned?

nvm its in the first page someone posted a limited run.
