Super Mario Maker 49.99 pre-order from Amazon (Prime required)

I preordered mine thru BestBuy with another game for that 7 pin promotion. This is a good deal!! Also what amiibo is this getting packaged with?? I haven't heard of any before...

I'm going with the Best Buy offer for those pins I think. If you pre-order two games from a select list, the list includes Super Mario Maker, then you get a coupon for some pins. Also GCU, so win win.

Unless I'm remembering wrong, I distinctively recall Advance Wars coming out on September 11 2001. (I remember buying it that day).
It came out the day before, which was a Monday. Some stores might not have sold it until the day after though. I recall that being a thing back then that the "official" date was before the day stores actually sold it. Which was really stupid.

Yes I believe this definitely was the case. The official release date for games would be listed as a Monday but they never actually had them out until Tuesday.

I see $59.96 even after adding to cart. Edit: I see the updated price in the checkout flow. Didn't understand the "last page" instruction in the OP initially.

I like many others here am holding out for the NA amiibo bundle announcement (which I doubt we will ever see) and if we don't get it I'm just going to wait for the price to drop a bit since I'll be pissed off, lol. I want to support this game from the start but really am in no need or rush to play it so if the Big N can't get it's marketing act together they are going to lose another faithful Nintendo gamer that's stuck by their side since 1988. No excuse for a company with 50 billion $$$ not to want to make options available for it's most dedicated of fans. I mean it's not like they are giving us anything anyway it would just help their bottom line but they are marketing idiots these days. That's one thing I like about sony, it's always had marketing masters & does the best it can to give the consumers what they want & their marketshare shows it.

Amazon won't charge you until they ship out your item, so I went ahead and placed a pre-order in case we never see a special Amiibo bundle like Europe's getting

Amazon - $53.99 after tax

Bestbuy - $51.84 after tax with GCU
Amazon - $51.77 after tax with Prime Card

Bestbuy - $52.31 after tax with GCU

For people waiting on the amiibo bundle, seems like these pre-order prime deals can disappear, so you might want to lock in a pre-order just in case and cancel if the amiibo bundle does come to the US.

I've got to ask since I am waiting on the most likely never to be announced NA amiibo bundle, what exactly does the 30th anniversary amiibo unlock in the game? I know it unlocks a bigger mario but can he be unlocked using any mario amiibo? I might not have to have him after all but at this point the amiibo seems to be leading to a disaster for gamers who want all the content that actually makes the game better but can't find the amiibo. Once again nintendo marketing idiocracy shines through because it would be a pretty decent cash grab if they actually made enough of the damn amiibo to supply the demand. I'm going to wait it out and see but if I can't find one of these 30th anniversary mario amiibo's on the store shelves I'm done with amiibo and quite possibly nintendo in general. I can't stand supporting their stupidity anymore because it's just showing mine to be doing so at this point.

I'm sure there will be a Nintendo direct soon, in which they'll announce the inevitable Super Mario Maker amiibo bundle.

i only want this game if i can get the amiibo bundle, as the only way i will have amiibos is if they come with a game. However, I am debating on pre-ordering this just in case, as we know Mario games alost NEVER go down in price. decisions, decisions.

So if you cancel your prime before the game ships, do you still get the discounted price?
i know a friend of mine ordered a ps4 with prime shipping and no longer had prime when it came out but still got it on release day. i dont know if that helps or not.

I searched a bit and found a few other reports of this when people canceled their prime trials after pre-ordering stuff, so I assume it still works that way. Thanks for the info!

MSRP should be $49.99 for regular version and MSRP $59.99 for bundle version. I guess we don't see the bundle here in the US. Nintendo getting greedy wants extra $10 for reg. & extra for $13 on 1st day dlc. I waits for sale price & buy 2 amiibo on release date.

Might be slightly off topic but does anyone know what's going on with that 8-bit Mario amiibo? I don't have any amiibos but I want that one and I know they sell fast so I was hoping to pre-order it. But I haven't seen it listed anywhere since the announcement. Are they going to be available in the US?
