All the discounted guides and collectibles: http://www.gamestop....3-OSGE15,28-xp0
Be aware some of these guides are only downloadable e-guides which are usually offered for free in collector edition guides.

This is a pretty decent sale to me since I am one of those gamers who like to buy collector's edition guides. I picked up the Batman AK CE guide in store for $18.5 ($16.65 after PUR) and it's pretty satisfying so far with the collectibles guide. http://www.gamestop....gy-guide/120326

Some interesting things to pick up:
The Witcher III Wild Hunt CE Official Strategy Guide $20:
http://www.gamestop....gy-guide/115847

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask Collector's Edition Official Strategy Guide $17.50:
http://www.gamestop....gy-guide/119586

Art of TLOU $14.5:
http://www.gamestop....ardcover/116774

FF Type-0 HD CE Official Strategy Guide $10:
http://www.gamestop....gy-guide/119588

Tomb Raider: Ten Thousand Immortals $6.5:
http://www.gamestop....mmortals/115695

And many more... Enjoy the summer, CAGers!

Just a heads up. The coupon knocks $20 off, then they take half off that. So it's not free.

seems like an odd way of calculating.  Isn't the sale price hard coded down to $18.50?

Trust me.

You can learn for yourself and waste the points if you want. But I have already tried it. I asked on the forum and no one knew, so I was the test dummy for it. It'll save you $10, not $20.

NP, I certainly am not about to burn the points.  just find it odd that since it doesn't appear to be 50% off all guides, that it will work this way.  i'll wait for someone else to try.... O:)

That Final Fantasy strategy box set at $65 is enticing...Yet is it even worth $65?

You'll get 10% off for being a PUR member. I had a $10 off coupon for doing a survey almost two months ago so I went ahead and ordered it; I wasn't sure what else to buy with the coupon and I didn't want it to expire.

From what I've read, Prima pretty much didn't do anything other than transplanting the contents of the VII and VIII guides into hardcover form. A lot of old mistakes still remain.

So I'm personally going to pass on it until it drops even further.

It looks like this might be online only.  I wanted to check to see if the Final Fantasy Type 0 guide would be available at my local store and the hold for in store pickup page says that the online price is $10 and the in store price is $19.99.  Has anyone tried to do this in store?

That's really weird. I picked up my Batman CE guide in the store with the same price as online.

what ragingstorm said. I'm expecting this bundle to drop to $20 even $10 in no time since they are basically waste of paper...

ok, i just double-confirmed it. The Batman CE is also showing up as the original price ($37) in-store when you are trying to hold it online to pick up in store (this sentence is so weird lol). But I picked up my copy in store without requesting a hold online, and I got it for $16.65.

Yeah it is rather tricky. My PUR discount says $3.7 off and then there is a $16.64 off. So according to my receipt, GS' way of calculating is:

36.99 - 3.7 = 33.29  after PUR

33.29 * 50% = 16.65   then 50% off.

So yeah, don't use your coupon because the face value will shrink, unless it's some percent off.

welp, that's not bad.  If after PUR and 50% you're left with $16.65, take the guide coupon and it should be free.  The coupon is only 11,500 so the return rate per point is still good ($16.65 for 11.5k).  It's better rate than a $5 off (5k) or $5 off PO (4k).  Obviously, the best use of the coupon would be something near $20 after discounts.  I may still go for it....I have one online hold (2 day) so I have time to mull it over.

OK, man. If you decide to use the $20, it would be like this (taking BAK CE guide for example):

36.99 - 20 = 16.99

16.99 * 50% = 8.5

So in fact, you saved 18.5 - 8.5 = $10, which is exactly half the value of your coupon and 11500 points for $10 is not as good as 8000 for $10 off a PO, IMO. But whatever you choose, happiness is most important!

Be aware that SSB for $5 is an e-guide, not the physical copy. I just started to play DAI and now pretty busy with BAK so I don't know about how good it is. But from so far I've seen, it's at least a decent game, and the graphics is beautiful. It looks like a Witcher 3, but with a little better graphics.

ok, then your original calculation from earlier didn't take into account the guide coupon.  I presumed it would be applied last and not first as in your last reply.

In store the 50% off will only show up once the worker rings up the guide in their register program. The prices online are with the 50% off already. Plus the PUR 10% is off the normal price before the 50% off.

Just did a return/rebuy tonight on the FFT0 CE guide after buying it last week and for it for $8 instead of $18.

So if you hold it online, then go to the store, after they scan it, it should fall back down to the 50% price?
