In 2012 I was diagnosed with young onset parkinsons disease at 25. I started selling on ebay and amazon because I knew at some point the disease would start to take over and Id have to change jobs.

Because of my recent success on Ebay and more specifically Amazon I have decided to purchase my own web store. The advantages to this is I can buy in bulk from distributors, Im also buying bulk iphone cases such as mario, batman ect, pokemon cards. I can sell my merchandise cheaper than most retailers ( thats how you ''succeed'').Disadvantages are: the site requires a ton of work, nobody knows who I am, I have thousands of products to add and my current site design is mediocre. Here is the site in its newborn state:http://barnettsgamesgalore.com/

Your criticism is WELCOME. Currently I have about 100 games on there compared to the 500+ on my other stores. So Im looking for input, especially on design.Obviously this is important to me as my health has deteriorated, any opinions welcome.

thank you

There is no way to figure out shipping cost without checking out?  And you don't ship out of US?

The only problem I see is the overall quality of the site. Otherwise I think it could work. :)

just a quick note that i think would help: uniformity. your splash images are all different shapes and sizes, which is fine for additional images once you get to the product's page, but a uniform cropping/sizing would make it look a lot more professional.

Very much appreciate the advice guys. Need to figure out why my pics are coming in at different sizes. Keep it coming! I'm currently pending approval from gts distribution to sell bulk trading cards and gaming merchandise

I wish you the best of luck. I've always thought it would be awesome to have a full time store.

I don't really have much advice, but was wondering how do you (or most eBayers who try to branch off) lure buyers away from the big sites. I sell on eBay quite a bit, and when i am looking for a game or item it is where I go to (or craigslist). I know that 99.9% of the time I will find what I want on those two sites, how do you overcome that hurdle?

Lots of sites still do it that way. Not saying it's not annoying but it's not a practice that only this guy or few others only do.

Once one of your featured items gets sold out you should replace it. Or adjust the list.

As the others said, the different sized pictures just distract me while shopping, and make it difficult to browse.

Nothing I see i need. Not saying cater to me, but just a hint of my likes which others may share and give you an idea of what to stock.
