Question about Transformers Prime

Have never played it, but according to GameFAQs it is an average OK game at best.
The TV show it's based off of is quite dark (the opening 5-parter has Starscream brutally killing Cliffjumper and later Megatron revives him as a mindless zombie) but if you are OK with your kid watching the show he/she should like the game just fine.
