so if I ordered two copies of metal gear V on ps4, and I did the order on two different transactions.

Should I expect a $10 certificate for EACH game?

does it make a different if I pre-ordered  2 copies of metal gear V. (ps4). One of them the day one edition and the other one is the collectors edition?

Thank you

Nope.

Nope. The $10 certificate will be for the first pre-order whether it's the collectors edition or not. I pre-ordered the Batman Arkham CE when it first went live and later pre-ordered the standard edition. I got $10 rewards points/certificate for the CE and regular points for the standard.

Thank you
You're welcome.

You should receive a cert for both.

To the poster below the OP, you got gipped. I have ordered many multiples of games in the past and received the $10 certs for both copies.

You forgot to make your post text color yellow to indicate sarcasm.
I'm confused now. One says certificate for both and the other certificate for one! Anyway, I don't know what's the point of being sarcastic when someone genuinely looking for an answer to his quesiton

I'm dead serious and not being sarcastic. You should receive a certificate for both pre-orders. Unless something has changed in the past, there is no limit on how many you can buy and receive certificates on.

You have NEVER been able to get two $10 certificates for 2 pre-orders of the same game.

I just re-read the disclosure on their site and it says limit 1 certificate per order per title per account, so my guess is they changed this recently because like I said before I was able to get it in the past.  Maybe they made an exception for me the couple times I did it so my apologies for the confusion.

If you called in to get the other $10 then the employees you talked with didn't know what they were doing.

It has always been one $10 cert per pre-order. Even when it was $20 per game, it was one per title just like it is now.

Do you work for Best Buy or something because it sounds like you are passionate about their rules and exceptions they make for customers.

No but I am "passionate" about helping people and trying to prevent confusing information from being spread and making it harder on new people who are unfamiliar with ANY website/store/loyalty programs terms and conditions.

Here is the sequence of events since your first post:

1. You said it works, I assumed this was a joke. But I wanted to make sure the OP knew so they weren't confused.

2. You said you were dead serious that it worked this way. But I know this is not true. I have been a Gamers Club paid member soon after Best Buy started the program years ago when it was a magazine and $15 a year.

3. You said it has worked many times for you in the past. At this point I thought you were misunderstanding the original question and did not realize they were talking about buying multiplies of the same game. But you were thinking multiple unique eligible titles. Such as a single copy of Madden, Battleborn, MGS5, Disney Infinity 3.0, etc etc.

4. You then said they may have made an exception for you. Which leads me to believe that you never automatically got 2x $10 but had to call to get the 2nd one added to your account. The systems are 100% automated so there are no exceptions with that type of system. Exceptions are done on a case by case basis by an employee manually.

Again you said you were mistaken and that's fine and everything, I just want the OP to understand that it has always been this way and anyone who has an experience counter to that is the exception and not the rule regardless of the way that exception has occurred.

The one distinction is if Best Buy considers it one per title regardless of SKU or one per SKU.

The OP said he ordered a standard edition and a CE, both of which get the cert, so he may end up with two and he may not.   He'll find out in about a month's time.

The terms do not state it is per SKU, it says per Title. The title of the game is Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. Regardless of the system of edition, it is still the same title. This has been discussed time and again the main main Best Buy pre-order thread over the years.

If it's one per title, then he'll get one cert, regardless of SKU. And I don't go into the BB pre-order thread much, so I've not been party to the discussion.

No worries. But yes the exact terms from the promotion state the following:

Can I pre-order and purchase multiple copies of a qualifying game and get multiple awards?

There is a limit of one (1) award per My Best Buy member per game title.
