Importing Consoles....

Not sure if this is the appropriate place to post this so I apologize in advance.  Mods feel free to move this if needed.

So I am seriously considering importing that Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes PS4 console from either the UK or Japan to America.  Does anyone know if I will need a converter to actually use the thing since the voltages in both countries are different than in the US?  I would rather figure this out now before dropping close to $600 for what might be a paperweight.

Any info is appreciated!

Been wanting a European 2DS for awhile now.  Anyone have any recommendations for that.

More on topic, I think you will need a converter.  You'll need something that will convert the plugs that go into the wall and convert the voltage.

That FOX edition faceplate does look nice.  Wish Sony would sell that separately.

You can grab that console for 415 usd it cones back in stock. You will need a U.S. Power cord from s old playstation. It buy one. The games will play fine. Only the dlc is region locked meaning as long as you buy us games and have a U.S. Psn account your fine.

DVDs are region locked as well as the blu Ray player. Most bd's are region free. But ymmv. There is some speculation that you can change the region. Not 100% sure.

Also, I think the X and O are switched. That should be able to be changed via settings I think.

Biggest hang up may be movies if that matters to you.

Already ordered one bro but I do appreciate all the info. And thanks again for trying to help me get a copy of Ground Zeroes. I FINALLY found a mint new one for my collection.

You going to use your MGSV console or just collect?

I haven't decided yet. I think I will use it and flip my black one I just recently bought to pay for the new console. I have the MGS IV PS3 console, so it will look good next to it lol

I'll look around Ebay. Honestly, I prefer going through Amazon, Gamestop, or Best Buy.
