Is it possible to make a video that looks exactly like gameplay without using models?

I have an idea for a game I want to showcase to people in a video that would look exactly like gameplay (except for a few animations in other clips). Would I still need to create models to make it seem like it would be gameplay? The way I have it in my head is much like the protagonists in the Yakuza series of games running through the streets of a city, that would be one of the clips in the video. I have a few more clip ideas of what would be in the video but it's a work in progress and this particular idea for a clip is stumping me.

Hopefully somebody gets what I mean.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but I'm assuming you're going to use premade clips from other sources to get your point across? If you want to make an animation of characters running but you don't want to make the characters, then look up xnalara on google. There's a deviantart page with thousands of character and stage models ripped from various games that are rigged, textured and ready to be animated. If you used a program like Blender to do the animations you would need to install an extra plugin to import xnalara models, but that's easy enough. If this is what you needed to know, or you want to discuss more on modeling or animating, then just send me a PM.

I spent like half an hour trying to reword that post and looking back on it I still messed it up a bit. I planned on making everything from scratch even though that would take a huuuuge amount of time. I had no idea about this short cut. I'm looking at the models and they seem good. I'm going to try and get a clearer picture of what all is going to be in the video and in the meantime mess with some programs. Thanks I'll send a PM your way if I need some help.
