Of course they put it back up just after the window for the pre-order $10 promo ends, so you can't just pick this up for that instead.

Before today, the PS4 versions were going for $130+. Assuming the sellers got them through Best Buy, they're still making $20-$30 after shipping and fees. Not great, but still a profit. Plus, I believe they would have gotten a $10 MBB reward cert.

Technically couldn't we return to Amazon saying it was not "complete" so we don't have to pay return shipping?

I think that's only for the :ps4: version, which doesn't apply to me. Apparently I didn't order it for a real console. :D

Not really. They are selling from $130 - $200. They may come back in stock but its likely cancelled ones and not actually restocks. This will sell regardless. That and people are mainly selling the Japanese edition.
 
Just snagged the X1 version. Wanted the PS4 version but it was all gone :( I have an external HD for the X1 anyway.

Grand total- $10.69
 
For those who have the CE, could I buy the X1 version and return the game itself for the PS4 version? Is that feasible?

You should try to do an OMS order in store for the PS4 version first since you could skip the extra nonsense that way.

I remember trying to do this for the Metaknight Amiibo, I think. Just go to customer service and ask for an OMS order of the SKU number, pretty much?

 
If there are more copies down the line (doubt it), I want to ask the CAG community why I should buy MGSV. Keep in mind my only memory of MG was MGS on PS1. Is it a good game? does the story actually make sense? is it unique? I want to be convinced, but don't wanna do another Skyrim and have the game collect dust.

I never played a MGS game before.

MGSV is really really good so far from the 11hours and 9% completion I have -.-

Story makes 0 sense, gameplay is great and ousts the dumb story. Anyone that praises Hideo for his writing "skills" needs to reevaluate their life because it's plain stupid.

Yes the story will make 0 sense if you never played any of the others.

Damn, I'm so tempted to get this game. I have MGSIV and never touched it even though I got it for FREE. I even have MGS1 and VR Missions on PSN. Even sadder, I bought the Legacy Collection and ended up trading it back -_-..I kept the art book though. Just thought this was the appropriate place to post this and to also draw attention away from the lurkers and scalpers.

I remember so little of the MGS games because they usually don't make sense to me. I also didn't play peace walker

Restocked already? I think that was quicker than batman LE restock, I wonder if it's because the damn arm is so small. ESO LE never got restocked though so

It's not a restock, BESTBUY is the only retailer that hasn't put up canceled orders until yesterday.
