I guess you can listen to Wombat's other podcast, Uninformed Opinions.

The Star Wars 2016 movie "Rogue One" is about stealing the Death Star plans, so I doubt it will happen in Rebels.

In a pretty fantastic example of knowing your audience, Jeff Foxworthy does commercials for Golden Corral buffet these days.
Jeff Foxworthy and Golden Corral really go hand and hand together. It truly is a match made in redneck heaven.

Great show this week though! I especially thought it was funny during the Apple conference that they showed off Crossy Road on the Apple TV just days after Wombat had talked about the exact same thing with the much cheaper and out now Fire TV. Overall the whole Apple event was the typical garbage we get every year from Apple. They haven't had an innovative idea since the original iPad and they keep making things bigger and putting on larger price tags. I mean $100 for a freakin stylus?!?! They are insane, but I have to say the people who buy this crap are the ones who are truly insane and allow Apple to continue doing this crap year after year.

Toybox Takeover is secretly the best game within Disney Infinity 3.0. Unlike the play sets this allows you to play with any figure. You finally have something for those orphan figures that aren't part of a play set.

These kind of things make me want to go buy this game, but I just can't bring myself to go into another rabbit hole of endless figures that I won't be able to stop myself from purchasing due to my sheer geekiness and love for Star Wars and Marvel.

If it was just a stylus, you'd be right. But it's much more complex, and intended to work as an artist's tool that can respond to different amounts of pressure to render different line quality. That is a Big Deal.

Also fwiw, take a look at the Surface pen. More expensive, less features.

I know that as a Star Wars fan I need to eventually check out that Rebels show, since it's the new face of SW. But I just can't bring myself to yet. Part of me is still salty that all the old EU is now non-canon. Also, I tried that Clone Wars animated movie (which led to a TV series) and I couldn't even finish it, so part of me thinks it might be like more of that.

By the way, I know it's all non-canon now so it's up in the air, but Kyle Katarn (the protagonist of Dark Forces, Jedi Knight and Jedi Outcast) was the one who stole the Death Star plans. It's actually the first mission in the Dark Forces game. Although technically that was only one set of Death Star plans; the story about the Death Star plans is apparently convoluted. But yeah that might not be the case anymore.

The Surface is Windows 10, iPad Pro is still just iPad. Get a Macbook for serious art or Surface. iPad is good for beginners. iPad with stylus is great for beginners. Still limited iPad.

The Clone Wars animated movie and first couple of seasons were rough for anyone over 12 but Rebels has found that nice balance for kids and adults that Batman: The Animated Series had.

The Surface is just as grossly overpriced as the iPad. It may very well be a very nice stylus, but $100 is still a little crazy, but so is the price of every Apple product ever produced. If someone is wanting to use a device for art, they surely will have much better options on both PC and Mac.

The Apple Surface made the same mistake Microsoft made with the early RT models. It's dumb to fragment the OS which makes the device less usable. Hopefully Apple's next Surface has OSX and not iOS and Apple copies Microsoft and scraps iOS, watchOS, their TV OS and just has one unified Operating System. I'm sure Apple will call it super revolutionary.

They're actually pretty cheap for when it comes to art tablets that you can draw on the screen. A Wacom Display Tablet starts at $800 and that's just the tablet. You still need a PC or Mac to go along with it and it's not exactly portable. That's kind of why the Surface has become popular with artists.

Right. If you are thinking Surface RT, then that is over priced. Surface Pro is cheap for artist tool and good priced tablet.
