I know this is probably asked a lot, but I am looking into getting a new TV and currently have a 40in Samsung LCD. I want to upgrade to a 55in or 60in LCD. I am not concerned with 4k at this time. Are there some good recommendations that won't break the bank? Also looking to buy from Best Buy, have some credit there.

I have seen a 55in Vizio for 599 and 60in for 749, would those be decent and is it worth the extra 150 to get a 60in?

Depends on your space, I just got the Viizo m series 70 inch and have no regrets. We also have a 2014 Viizo 55 e series which still a fine TV

You can have a look at the LG 4K Smart HDTV Sale at amazon.

Pretty much I'm just looking for a TV that will hold up in quality for another 8 years. Mine works fine to this day, but technology has come a long way since.

I've been shopping around and comparing 55" and 60" TVs for a while, and five inches can definitely make a noticeable difference. If you already plan on using it for at least 8 years, and the 60" fits your space better, then it can be well worth the money. I would base it off the distance you sit from the TV.

read up on stuff there. They have master threads for specific models of TVs where you can usually get info. FYI Vizio's are kinda shit. Theyre mediocre TV's with really poor color settings/reproduction most of the time

You can also look here for some info on input lag and that kinda junk for gaming on them

I agree. I used rtings a lot to avoid TVs with high input lag and motion blur. I considered getting a Vizio but ended up paying more for something with better reviews. I haven't received the TV yet, so I hope I made the right decision, because to me the 4K Vizios on display at Best Buy look pretty great.

How did you get them to price match? I don't think they're doing price matches right now.
I PMed on Tuesday via chat after purchase. Just purchase it through Amazon and they'll refund the difference as long price still stays. Another reason I went the Amazon route is the 5 year extended service plan at $52. Most retailers don't get that length and value for peace of mind.
