The retailer said it will also offer free Geek Squad setup on many products on its top tech gifts list, which includes ultrahigh-definition TVs. Other items on the list include iPads, Bose noise-canceling headphones, MacBooks, and the Microsoft Surface.

For the first time, Best Buy will also allow customers to give an hour of in-home tech setup and support from its Geek Squad services as a gift.

Finally, Best Buy won’t wait until Black Friday to trot out its holiday deals. It will hold shopping events in 400 stores on November 7 where the first 100 customers will get a free tech gift. The retailer will also offer “Black Friday-like deals” in all stores that day.

Best Buy has momentum heading into the holiday season as a turnaround spearheaded by CEO Hubert Joly has gains traction. The company is also benefiting from a shift in consumer spending toward big ticket items for the home as home prices rise. An explosion of new gadgets like Apple watch, which is being sold in all Best Buy stores, has also helped.

That'll be great for black Friday game deals and random sales were I don't have to worry about getting to $35 anymore or hope it has store pick up.

I don't know man... I got a lot of credit to spend at Amazon and while my Prime trial expires on the 20th of next month(why not the end!!!!!!) I may buy enough crap that I get free shipping anyway.

Um...wow. I don't really factor into this since I'm Elite Plus through February, but this is a pretty bold move on Best Buy's part.

Best Buy doesn't have a ship separately option.

WOW this is really really interesting..I bought a TV last week from Best Buy in store and they delivered it a few days ago..when it says on their site that geek squad will come to your house do they mean they can put it on the wall for you? This TV was for my brother so he needs a new TV Stand, if we buy a new TV Stand this weekend will best buy geek squad come to the house and put it together for free?

Seems according to the site black friday deals will be starting on November 7th I hope they showcase their XBOX ONE deals I am trading in my XBOX ONE this weekend to Gamestop I wonder if they offer gift cards in store for best buy that way I can just the system at best buy instead

This is great news!  I was hoping another major retailer like Best Buy would copy Target's free-shipping-on-any-order deal they had around BF last year.  Now let's hope Target does it again this year and some other stores follow suit!

Hm, my wife wants us to get one of those big 7 ft chest freezers, but they only offeer free shipping for appliances $399 and up. I wonder if that would get free shipping on the 25th as well.

Geek squad isn't a furniture building department.

What about preorders that release during this time frame, and have the shipping paid for already?

Do we get reimbursed or am i gonna have to contact CS for a refund on the shipping.

I've only found like one thing that was cheaper at Best Buy than Amazon or even Wal-Mart so this is good news but as someone who doesn't give it my business much won't help me a lot. Might be useful on BF though but we'll see since for the last few years every retailer seems to copy others at least when it comes to games.

I think you should check to see if your local Lowes offer free delivery. I know I ordered a smaller chest 7.1 and they were the only place that would deliver without charging extra unlike Best Buy. And plus they actually put it in our basement so we didn't have to worry about that part of dragging it downstairs, etc.
