Ebay: Problem with a Buyer

So I sold an item this buyer and when he paid he left me a note telling me to ship it asap. I shipped the same day of payment and it was delivered in 3 days from the tracking. Now one week later he contacted me and said he never received the package even though the tracking number said it arrived there. He also said he saw that it was delivered but waited a week to contact me because he thought that the tracking number is not accurate and it could arrive late.

So how should I deal with this situation as I believed that the package did arrived based on the tracking number and the events that has occurred. Just doesn't make sense that he rushed me to ship it but never got concern when it said it was delivered and he got no package.

If he opens a case I would contact ebay and show them that it was delivered.

A buyer did that to me a few months ago because USPS scanned it as delivered in Milwaukee, where I shipped it, I sent them an email and the local postal investigator sent me an USPS intranet report. That shows every scan that a tracking number has had up to being delivered. I called them because of the case and I scanned them the report and they gave me my money back.

I would suggest this as well. There isn't much that can be done on your end, if it shows delivered to his location on file, you should be safe.

Contacting USPS directly and getting a report for every scan that doesn't necessarily show on eBay tracking, as suggested already. If he does open a case, it will most likely close with you keeping the money and eBay refunding the buyer after you show the proof, etc.

I had two packages that were scanned delivered at pickup instead of acceptance as well. Such a pain sometimes.
