AmazonSmile. Same shopping, but with bonus donations. Use it?

AmazonSmile is the exact same thing as Amazon, but with each transaction Amazon will donate a small % to a charity of your choice. Like any charity

"When you shop at smile.amazon.com, you'll find the exact same low prices, vast selection and convenient shopping experience as Amazon.com, with the added bonus that Amazon will donate a portion of the purchase price to your favorite charitable organization."

Seeing so many Amazon deals on here made me think about how much can be donated.

And that's my PSA. Sponsored by warm fuzzies.

I've seen a few of them, but I usually forget when ordering stuff. Granted, I only buy stuff on Amazon once a year or so. Good PSA, nonetheless. Maybe mention this in AWD thread.

It is used by members there from the day it was kicked off and is listed under the FAQ in my op of the same thread.

AWD thread? ..I've deduced that's some sort of acronym. Don't know how people with All Wheel Drive would benefit though.
He means this thread:

Amazon Warehouse Deals Thread XVI

... and such the acronym AWD. It is nice to see it being mentioned outside of the main thread so no worries.

I use it for the local animal shelter here since I know the people and it's to help the animals out. I'm surprised people here donate to the big names since most of those are the biggest scams out there. The big charities (hospitals, cancer, anything children) like those are in the news every damn year over donation misuse or fraud. If you know 100% the money is being used for what it is intended for by all means do it but in my experience from watching the news in the last 15 years as well as reading plenty of reports the big names are just scams (scams is the best way to put it as all of them still stay in operation because most of it gets covered up or the US journalism doesn't cover it since they are too focused on water skiing cats or who got divorced in Holywood) who pocket the money for their own ends.
