Bastards.  Maybe I'll have to try that gift myself Prime with credit trick next time I get over $100.

I guess you know about the re-gifting yourself prime but how is that others don't know this. I gifted myself 2 years when they did the promo price of $79 earlier this year by paying for it with my Amazon credit.

First time I noticed the no rush credit worked on digital games was during the Batman AK price glitch. Applied $5 of it to the game. That was awesome!

I have no clue how to make it apply. Everytime someone mentions that they were able to, I give it a shot. It's supposed to cone off by default, right? If you have credit (GC) and promo, which gets taken first?

I didn't know about this until it was mentioned quite recently or I would have done so and not been muddling about without it!

I'm not a Prime member...is it worth it for me if I make like 12 purchases a year on Amazon?  I know there are Prime only sales and the free 2 day shipping is nice. I just don't know if I'll buy enough from them for it to make monetary sense.

A Prime membership gives you an excuse to buy things, so you'll be purchasing from them much more than you do now. The free shipping option lets you be so much more frivolous, and you'll be able to take advantage of free-after-coupon deals and free credits to use towards even more purchases. You'll be buying like 12 items a month in no time.

Look through your purchase history and see how many purchases you have made at Amazon in the last year. Then multiply that by 100, then divide $99 by that many purchases, and that's how much it'll cost you for every shipment.

It's worth it.

Received my (A) :xb1: SWBF that was $29.xx and it was a dinger as it still had the Xbox seal on it. It'll make a great gift.

I have an Elite Controller that states it'll arrive tomorrow, but has made no progress shipping wise, so I assume that'll get canceled.

Kurish, here is a guide that my help you and others. By default the payment method is set to your primary credit card but you can change that to gift card:

Use this link to gift Amazon Prime (to anyone including yourself)

Gift Amazon Prime

For recipient's e-mail enter yours and click on "save gift options". You can schedule delivery date a year from the day of (in my case the day mine expires).

It has automatically selected my credit card for method of payment. Click "Change" next to "Payment method" to change method of payment:

Select gift card balance from here and click continue:

gallery_325002_8716_44065.jpg

Now you will see gift card is the method of payment and under order summary you will see your order total $0.00 (if you have funds to cover the order). Click to place your order.

Congratulations, you just gifted yourself Amazon Prime.

That is great and all since you are using credit but I usually wait for sale on Prime subscription (yes they have sale on Prime subscription). Prime Day is likely going to be another day this goes on sale and maybe one other time of the year so keep an eye out for it. Between Amazon trades and awd, now you actually get to be like:

Welcome to the suffering! :)

I still end up spending like half cash throughout the year on Amazon purchases. I've been making all my purchases with my Chase card this month since it's 10% cash back.

Just a thought for those who do the same. Might as well spend the cash now and save the amz credit since it's a 10% discount.
