Looks like the Internet or at least my twitter feed is talking about whether or not a Hot Dog is a sandwich or not.

Yea:

Dan Pashman of the Sporkful says: "A sandwich is a piece of meat "sandwiched between bread."

Nay:

John Hodgman, internet Judge and deranged millionaire says: No way because Pashman's definition makes no sense and you don't slice a hot dog in half.

They are going to debate on this topic live at an event in Brooklyn, New York on November 10th. They have a longstanding feud over this.

But meanwhile, the internet doesn't need these two to decide as:

The Buffalo Bills are divided. http://deadspin.com/the-is-a-hot-dog-a-sandwich-debate-has-reached-the-b-1740603053

The National Hot Dog Council (which has a vested interested in not declaring a hot dog a sandwich for most likely tax purposes) says no. http://www.theatlantic.com/entertainment/archive/2015/11/its-not-a-sandwich/414352/

What do you guys think?

This is definitely not a sandwich, but it's the most common way I eat a hot dog.

I bet that would be amazing with Italian Sausage instead of a hot dog. (or at least hot dogs that are nitrate free)
