There needs to be a mega thread of regret purchases. They can be anything, from games to a bad sandwich you had ordered from a restaurant.

I'll kick things off ...

Legend of Legacy Launch Edition. The games is meh.

I regret buying a used snow thrower last winter that I put a new clutch cable and belt into and afterward to find out it does a crap job throwing snow. $100 wasted now I have to try to unload it on someone who doesn't need to move a lot of snow.

wow i forgot about this thread. Well, the best thing to come out of it so far for me is now I know not to eat at wing stop.

Still regret that Legend of Legacy purchase ...

They were good for years, but their quality has gone down bad. Last night I placed an order for seven people there and on the way back home stopped at Sonic and got their wings. :)

Maybe one day I'll open my LoL and be filled with regret over it as well.

I too regret buying the Dark Souls II Collector's Edition for $149. That thing was way too expensive. And its dropped in price a few times as low as $35.

It was because of that statue I stopped buying overpriced CEs. Except for Fire Emblem. And Xenoblade. BUT. Other than those, I stopped.

I got the SW:TOR CE as a Christmas present from my Dad when it originally came out.  Was so hyped for the game.  Then the game (and the price of the CE) went downhill so fast.  Definitely made me wish I hadn't bugged him about it so much.

I regret buying the ME3 CE. I figured it would be rare like my ME1 and ME2 CEs, but it wasn't and meh.

I also regret purchasing the RE: ORC CE. I was lucky and got it during a glitch during preorders, so it was only around $25, but still wasn't worth it.

I regret buying Euphoria, eroge game. People highly praised it for it's true ending but what I had to go through to see it is...well it's pretty hardcore. The story was relatively weird and kind of bad, and the nature of things disgusted me so much I only did 3 endings. I didn't care to do every route, which isn't the norm for me in VNs. Frankly I disliked the game a lot and felt it was unjustly praised as it just takes so much to get to the true route. Just not worth it for the relatively half arse ending.

Also another one is getting Disgaea 5 on launch. Frankly it bored me and even though it's a step up over the previous Disgaea 4, it just doesnt' feel innovative. It frankly feels old school and tired. Also doesn't help the maps lack a lot of creativity. I think i'm done with Disgaea games for the near future. I hadn't played for a while and it even then it felt like it was treading old tracks.

Destiny. Got pulled into the hype. I hope The Division doesn't fail me.

Mass Effect 3 CE - Not worth it. Bought it because I was a huge ME fan. Should've waited a few months to pick it up for $10 in the same year.

The Force Unleashed Wii - I was young back then. I truly believed I could use the Lightsaber. Nope.

PersonaQ LE from Amazon

$80 and it came all banged up, with dingers galore popping up just a few days later and prices dropping to ridiculous lows.

I regret buying all the games I did four weeks prior to the launch of Fire Emblem Fates.

Spent a bunch of money on games I will likely never play. And kept myself busy with Tactics Ogre for PSP (a game I already owned.)

Upshot: Fire Emblem is a great game!

I regret the pipboy edition. Aside from the steel book case, the package was a disappointment. Especially when that one "button" broke on first touch.

I should have cancelled and preordered the gold edition.

I regret not getting the Socks Edition from Best Buy where lots of people got two codes for the Season Pass.

Same here! Its a glorified paperweight that I broke a button on the first day of use- I could unscrew it and free up the button but thats work and I don't really care. The steelbook was worth it. Now I have a giant crate and arm wrap paperweight,

I regret just about every time I have gifted/loaned someone any of my games or consoles. Just about all of them have been lost or broken.

I gave a friend my GBA after I upgraded to the SP...it was lost somewhere in Mexico. Gave my nephew my old phat DS when I got a lite and his brother tore it in half. I have loaned games and CDs to friends that later denied ever having them.

...might as well just throw my stuff into a wood chipper.

If your nephews are anything like mine (one is 16 and his brother is 6), you shouldn't trust them with anything you expect to have returned in a working order. My younger nephew found my GBASP stash and I dread trying to do a headcount of my games...

I definitely regret buying Dragon Age: Inquisition digitally. Not because it's bad or anything. Just that I'll never get back to it again.

I'm bumping the ol' REGRET mega thread haha

What's going on? Any recent regrets?

I regret eating some Middle Eastern food earlier today ... I have onion breath and gum, mints are not working.

Metal Gear Slid V: The Phantom Pain!...................It was literally pain.

The last chapter in the long-running stealth action franchise focuses on the hazards and effects of war. Though players have the option to use nonviolent methods to subdue opponents, they can use firearms, explosives, and knives. There's torture, scantily clad women, references to rape, and derogatory language toward women.

Man, the first few hours with that game, I was blown away. I thought it was incredible.

After a few more hours, it became so repetitive. I got bored with it fast. Traded it in for about $44 when BB had some promo.

I regret pre ordering Mighty No 9. Playstation 5 will launch before that comes out. In second place was pre ordering GPA IV $100 special edition. ...Should of came with art book that doubled as shitter paper. Rant over!

I regret buying Sunset Overdrive. I got the game during a good sale at BB more than a year ago (plus Forza Horizon 2). (Un)surprisingly, life got in the way, which meant I have not been able to play through all the games that I have wanted to. Lo and behold, SO was added as a Games for Gold game. My copy is still unopened. :\

I regret trading in Super Mario Bros Wii and Mario Galaxy 2 to lower the price of Dragon Age: Inquisition from $60 down to $40 I think. And then I used a Gamestop card that had $28 on it and paid cash for the rest. I don't regret getting the game at all, just the fact that it dropped in price a week later to $30 new so it was a waste to trade in the Wii games. :(

Sounds like real life.

That really sucks.

One thing I've learned over the years is games like Dragon Age, Mass Effect, etc, get so cheap within a year or two. Nintendo games always seem to hold their value.

I traded Zelda for the 3ds once ... never again will I trade in a Nintendo game. I always end up wanting to go back to it.

Swordcoast Legends for PS4.

I was waiting for Deus Ex and needed something to play until it came out. Very ... Meh.

Also, the Deus Ex is OK. Not as amazing as last one.

I bought a Figma once thinking it might be kind of cool to have on display. Was completely disappointed in it and realized I am not a figure  person.
