If so, it'd be sweet if it could stack.

I'm assuming the PS4/TV deal is for the Uncharted Bundle only? If it was for the Vader PS4 or Black Ops PS4 it would make it even better. Still has potential.

Also, clarification of the fine print on that Xbox 360 trade-in would be nice. Most of these trade in offers specify a newer model.

Regardless, thank you for the early ad!!

Really curious to see the fine print on the 360 deal. I have a $50GC from the double trade in last week, if I can trade in an old phat 360 with no hard drive and a 3rd party controller, and get the free game as well, I think that's a lot better than anything I could get on BF.

Why are all these companies wanting to give you money and gift cards for your old consoles. What's their angle? What are they going to do with them? Are they going to build a nuke that will destroy the world? I'm very suspicious.

Because they are all subsidized by Microsoft.

Yeah they are. What's fine is while we sold a lot of Xbox ones at my store last week we also took in a lot of Xbox ones in as trades because people were upgrading.

So while it's great they are selling the total number actually in use isn't getting nearly as big of an increase

i guess at this rate with sony also selling ps4 for $299.99. xbox one will be $199.99 in 2016 bf

whoever came out with the pricing strategy is really bold n aggressive. i wonder if it will backfire on them.

Of course not. Don't be ridiculous. What would a company gain from destroying the world? They will obviously hold the world hostage with the nuke and demand all the money, crack, and strippers in the world as payment for not using it on us.

The way it's worded I'm going to guess no. Youll get a gift card for the trade in from Target Mobile (who does the trade-ins) and then they'll scan something that'll pop up the deal on the register.

That trade-in deal could be easily exploited, I'm not doing it but I know someone will.

They might be desperate, I don't believe they are, but they very well could be. They can afford to take a hit on hardware sales to increase their user base in order to amplify the attach rate. They'll take a hit now but capitalize on it later.

They're also hoping to push 360 users over to X1. For example, the company I work for will give huge discounts for anybody that upgrades from our traditional server-based software to our newest cloud-based software as the ecosystem allows us to capitalize on profits in the long-term and still reduce our customer's costs overall.

What are the "necessary" component for the Xbox 360 trade in? Im assume it is Console, AC brick, HDMI? Maybe no controller?

I think Microsoft really screwed the pooch when they used inferior hardware compared to the PS4. The consumer knows this and knows every single multi-platform release will run/be better on the PS4. So nobody except major xbot fanboys are going to choose Xbox One over PS4. They have to try and address that by selling for cheaper and incentivizing people financially to make the jump.

What they really should have done is just upgrade the hardware and forget about the cloud computing b.s. and Kinect. Then and only then would they approach PS4 sales. It's got to be cheaper to throw in more RAM than to discount for trade-ins. You can't tell me that the cost to upgrade the hardware to at minimum PS4 power is as much as they are subsidizing these $100, $150, and even $250 trade-ins.

It's a shame too because I've wanted to get an Xbone bundle but every time I go to confirm my purchase at checkout I remind myself that besides the very few exclusives, every game will play better on a PS4. Tomb Raider exclusivity especially has me intrigued but I will just have to wait until the PS4 gets it and buy a PS4 then.

We dont know until someone tries; Target never took hardware before. If they follow GS model, they will ask for a controller - it is the most likely approach they'd take.

Like I said they aren't expanding their user base that much since a lot of people were trading in their Xbox one for a new one with free game and controller
