Noticed something weird on my gamestop return and rebuy receipt

Last week i traded in my system to gamestop to buy xbox one bundle.  However the only 1tb bundle they have left is the madden one and they refuse to give game on it since somethign expired.  I end up settled with 500 gow bundle, which i paid 100 trade in credit for + the 250 credit trade in.  I contracted the district manager about it and they told me to bring it in and they will swap it with a 1 tb if i paid the 50 difference.  So i bring it in yesterday and they processor the return  and i got the 1 tb holiday bundle and lunar white controller and paid $50 cash for it and requested gift receipt just in case. 

However when I check the receipt i find something interesting.  It say my purchase for xbox is 399 and lunar white controller is 54.99, they completely left out the free game that was part of the bundle in the new receipt.  Does that mean:  I can return the holiday bundle for 399.99 credit by itself and keep the game and the controller for free basically?  Not trying to scam the store but i am curious if it is what the receipt meant.

I think what happen was the store somehow process my gow and my controller as full price return instead of being a bundle.

And the reason I ask is because I am not 100% sure if I want to keep the bundle as I have a ps4 already. That was what prompt me to check the receipt

So you went into the store twice and got the district manager involved to give you a better deal for a system you're not sure if you want and are just looking to return?

But they also want to keep the controller and game just because you know I stockpile games and controllers for systems I don't want or own.
