Ebates is a cashback site offering you a percentage back oh your online purchases. Different sites offer different percentages back and as it's holiday time, many are offering double cashback. Some do exclude certain categories. For instance, Walmart excludes gift card purchases, Automotive services, etc. They have a very large selection of sites that offer cashback. Bestbuy, Target, Amazon, Gamestop, etc. Cashback can be paid via check or paypal. 

New Members receive a $10 gift card to a select store with first $25 purchase.

So on to the referral part. As a holiday promotion, they are currently offering extra incentives to refer people. Every referral is worth $5, but until 12/31/15, you will receive extra credit for certain milestones. The big one being 3 people. If you refer 3 people and they make a $25 purchase, you will get a bonus $100. Considering the $25 purchase also nets the referees a $10 gift card with their first purchase, it seems like a generous promotion.

More as well, but those are some big ones. This on top of your $10 gift card with $25 purchase. I also forgot to mention that you don't give ebates any payment information. It works by simply signing up for ebates. Then go to their site and click the link to take you to your site destination. Ebates then gets paid for sending business there way, and they split the money with you.

After registering for ebates, you'll just click the link to whatever site you are wishing to shop at and they will direct you to the site. If you make a purchase, Ebates gets paid for sending your business to them. Ebates will then give you half of the money.

They have a very large selection of websites and are offering extra cash back during the holidays. When you sign up, you'll also get to choose a $10 gift card for select stores. If you make a $25 purchase, they'll send you that $10 gift card.

If you shop online, it's an easy way to make back a few bucks. Bought a computer chair for store pickup at Walmart and got $7 back plus my $10 gift card.
