“We are working on utilizing PS2 emulation technology to bring PS2 games forward to the current generation,” a Sony representative told WIRED via email. “We have nothing further to comment at this point in time.”

So I need my PS3 to plat games from ps1 and PS3 and need my PS4 for ps2 and ps4 games. Makes total sense.

I should have never gotten rid of m ps2 games.

Unless I'm missing something, there's no proof that you can stick a PS2 disk in and have it work. It may just be digital games (though with Plus I have a ton of those too, so either way is fine)
