downloaded a bunch of game last night, and noticed that you can rent Jurassic World and Terminator Genisys for only 10 cents each and you have 14 days to watch them. Also the store is the same wallet as your Xbox live account. Pretty good deal.

New movies rentals are up. Home, Spy, The Matrix, Minority Report, Training Day, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, The Godfather, The Goodies, Cape Fear are all 10 cents.

We have not rented movies through MS before. If we buy it through the store on our laptop, do we chose stream to watch it on the xbox? Or can it be rented through the xbox dashboard?

I don't think so, been trying to figure it out also, I think it is only the machine you rented it on, which is stupid! M$ says it wants all this connectivity with surface, phone, xbox, and pc, and you can't share a rented movie.

Pitch Perfect 2, Ex Machina, Inception, Groundhog Day, Office Space, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, The Great Gatsby, E.T., The Devil Wears Prada, Enter the Dragon

I was able to rent Terminator from my W10 laptop the other day and watch it on my XB1 but now all the .10 rentals are unclickable out when I try and click on them. I wonder what I did right than or I am doing wrong now?

I can confirm you can buy the $0.10 rental through the Windows 10 Store but watch the video on your Xbox for easier TV viewing. Done it several times since this sale started. If you try renting it through the Xbox, it'll show up as regular price.

Reminder: The way rentals work in Microsoft TV & Movies is that the rental is active for 14-days until your first viewing. It expires 24-hours after you start watching it. So you can buy the rental but don't have to watch it right away. You've got two weeks. Once you do start watching, it'll expire the next day.

Magic Mike XXL

Ms. Doubtfire

Kung Fu Panda

Die Hard

Caddyshack

I think I saw the first day they started this and completely forgot about it until now. If I rent it on my windows 10 device (desktop PC), is there anyway to "cast" it to my xbox one or something? I'd much rather watch these on my 50" tv than on my monitor.

Also, if I rent it now, how long do I have until I have to watch it?

Rent it through Windows 10. Choose the stream option. It'll automatically show up in your Movies & TV app on your Xbox. You have 14-days to start viewing. Once you start viewing, you have 24-hours to watch it as many times as you want.

awesome thanks! Rented Avengers and it showed up on the xbox just like you said.

A movie like Avengers, I already own it lol.

Never saw Entourage... rented and watched it. Ummm, a lot of cameos and a few naked girls, but I really didn't like it. It's bad.

I'm using Windows 8.1 now should I upgrade to 10 finally? I mean I know some updates take awhile to get the bugs out which is why I never upgraded before. So what the general opinion of Windows 10? Bugs free and working better then 8?

I upgraded to Windows 10 when it was first available and while I'm pretty much an average consumer when it comes to computer uses, I have not had one single bug or anything of the sort with Windows 10. Some quick searching online also shows mostly positive experiences with it.

i update to win 10 an been happy, some people said it installs  lot hidden tracking some you can turn off others that you cannot, or is not easy too. for me i don't mind an left everything default in install an have no issues but just letting you know.
