enabling progressive scan in Burnout 3 PS2

Does anyone know how to do this? Manual is no help. Holding down X and Triangle does no good either( thats how i enable it in Star Ocean 3).

EDIT: oops, X and triangle aren't working? That's how I solved my problem with it...

guess it does work....i stopped holding the buttons when it got the loading screen, SO3 asks you right after the Playstation 2 logo, and im used to Gamecube acting the same.....thanks
