Due to my excellent experiences with LG TVs and products in general, I want to stick with LG. My current TV is a 37" 1080p LG, but the refresh rate or whatever is low compared to modern TVs, so it doesn't look as good. I've had it maybe 8+ years.
The one I'm looking at is this one:

I can get it for $500. Is this good for gaming?
I also wanted to know if you guys think I'll find a similar or better deal within the next year. I know 4k is still relatively new. Financially I can afford this but I may be pushing it.
