Need advice on a laptop upgrade/Seeking any deals, HELP!

I'm looking for a laptop for my wife to replace her old Asus g71gx from 2009. It has a Core2Duo 2.53ghz, 6gb RAM, and a 260m gfx card. The computer has been through many fan replacements and hard drive replacements but is just really showing its age. She only plays Sims 4 but likes it at medium-high settings. I want to know if anyone has seen a deal out there where we could make an upgrade? It has to last at least a few years (plus future sims releases) .

How much are you looking to spend?  I used to try to get gaming laptops, but it's hard to find good ones that can handle the heat.  That said, I had a AMD A-10 laptop and it handled games pretty well, even without a dedicated GFX card so you might want to look into that series.

Looking at $700 or less. It doesn't have to be a "gaming" laptop, just one that will run a game like Sims 4. I know some laptops that become branded as a "gaming" series carry a higher price tag.
