It's pricey but it looks good and have some nice feature like USB recording and 3d. 4k is a while off so 1080 is more then optimal for the next 4-5 years. My original range was $400-$500 too. I tried Samsungx2, LGx1, Viziox3(price is seductive) and Sonyx4; all failed me except Sony.
