Bungie has just started a Refer-a-friend program, that includes a special mission and rewards for Veterans of the game that "Refer" a new player (someone who is playing within the last 7 days) and the new player as well. If you've just bought the game for Black Friday, this is a good opportunity to play with someone who has played the game a while and can explain the ins and outs, and to also get some exclusive gear.

I play on Xbox One, so for us to team up, you'd also have to have it on Xbox One.

I've been playing Destiny since Beta, so I can certainly answer any questions you might have, and we can get some cool loot in the mean time!

Veterans, feel free to post your links here, I will start a running list below. New Destiny Players, please use the next referral link in the list for the console you need, and let us know when you do, so I can cross it off.

Since you can only have one referral per code, I hope it's okay for me to post here and ride your thread in case someone wants to get the bonus gear, but your referral code has been used. If you'd rather me not, I'll remove the post. I figured it's all about the community, so a single thread for this is a great idea :D

That is my link. I play on Xbox One now. I have all 3 classes at almost max level. I have experience with every single thing in the game. I have been playing almost daily since the Xbox 360 Beta (I played my first 6 months on 360. I used to go back and forth between systems, but they put a nail in that coffin by forcing you to buy the latest add on for each console. With the main gave and every other expansion, if you bought the 360 version, you got the Xbox One version free).

My gamertag is same as my username here. Feel free to add me, ThirdEchelon. One of us may be short a man for Hard Oryx sometimes.

Yeah, that's no problem. I've started a list in the top post and will keep it updated if others want to post their link.

 
I'd love to get in on this. I'm a PS4 veteran player, been playing since the alpha. I've only ever had my titan (light level 306 currently), never been much for the other subclasses but I'm all for sherpa'ing a player through stuff. I have a raid group that could likely find a chance for you to raid with them here and there, they're all locals and friendly.

I've had people use my referral link, but please keep in mind new folks, you have to do this within 7 days of when you started the game. Any later and you don't count as a "new" person and we don't get the quests.
