i just got a BB-8

Wow, these look cool! But I'm not a Verizon customer. :wall:
Technically you don't have to be because i (verizon) and my friend (sprint) went and they just asked us if were verizon customers and we both said yes and we were both able to get one. But ymmv on who you ask.

I can't find these anywhere around where I live in PA and they're selling for $30 - $40 on Ebay.  Looks like I'm going to miss out on these. :bs:

My father, brother, and I went and they said only one per verizon account, and we only got it because my brother happened to be an authorized user. My father and I weren't,

Went there today. Both ladies working there have never heard of google cardboard. I left disappointed.

Thanks, was able to order BB-8 using a pre-paid credit card with no money left or I think like a penny in it.  The wife wanted to order one but it looks like everything went out of stock.

Seems to gone out of stock just as I was adding it to my cart, damn.

EDIT: Are they adding more sequentially? I keep seeing different options being at capacity, but then refresh and it shows as having some available.

Just keep checking the google link. I clicked once and nothing was available. Clicked again and BB8 was available, but gone before I could check out. Clicked again and got the First Order Stormtrooper, which was the one I really wanted anyway.

Yep mine suppose to come Tuesday. Anyone that got them already, how was it shipped, in a box? Was it folded? FedEx usually hand this to the USPS and USPS just stuffs my mail box that sometimes damages stuff Ike slipcovers and most likely cardboard.

My delivery estimate was December 22nd, but it showed up the very next day. It comes in a gray bag, and the viewer is already assembled and ready to go right out of the box. As someone who has never dipped their toe into VR, here are my impressions of it.

Using a Galaxy S3, I was instantly transported to a magical world of headaches within the first few minutes. I think this is because I was trying to look around with my eyes and it was causing me to see double. If you want to look around, you need to keep your eyes staring straight ahead and only move your head. It'll screw you up if you try to use your eyes to look around. I only got to try the rollercoaster before the kids tore it away from me with their greedy grubby hands, but it was pretty cool. Looking upwards is actually "trippy". It probably isn't as good as something like the Oculus or PSVR, but it works. After about 40 minutes of the kids trying it out, the phone was getting pretty hot, so I had them take a break.

There's also a button on the top that you can use to click menus with which I thought was kind of neat.

I can't believe how much these are selling for on Ebay, it's freaking ridiculous.  Those flippers need to be punched in the head for those prices.  A couple of auctions have the set of 4 selling for $300.  Luckily I managed to order 2 using 2 different gmail addresses.  I have Kylo and a stormtrooper coming in this week.  I'm a collector and I have no intentions of selling or flipping these.
