Put a hold on the PS4 version at my local store in Wichita, KS. Picking up after work. Thanks OP!

Well that sucks. Bought it at launch for $20 and haven't opened it yet haha.

Looking at their return policy and it says DLC cannot be returned so us launch buyers may just be screwed anyway.

You bought the XB1 version, which has a weird quirk. It has two codes that have to be scanned so you get both the cards & the DLC code. When done properly (before this sale) your receipt would have each item at around $10 each & a XB1 code for the DLC at bottom of receipt. PS4 version has a code in the box.
Just beware of this when buying the XB1 version.

Looks like they only scanned the one code on mine then, because it rang up 9.99, and has the code on the receipt.
The guy told me it was $15 at first, and then just thought it was on sale or something.

So this will be my first foray into the physical cards. It looks like the first two decks were exclusive to the collectors edition and are now up charged on resellers sites? Am I correct on this?

So, does this mean you got an extra good deal or you got screwed? It seems a little unclear...do both UPCs need to be scanned to "activate" the Xbone DLC?

I'll probably just pick this up for the PS4 version anyway, but I'm considering getting a copy for both to double up on the gwent cards. No idea why I care. lol

Depends on if it was just the cards he got charged for or he just got charged for an active DLC.

Did they not do a PC bundle?

They were exclusive to only the X1 version. Prices on eBay for just the card decks are ridiculous ($200+).

From what I can tell only PC is in the UK http://www.game.co.u...-at-game-778995

I'm buying the PS4 one for the cards and maybe sell the DLC?

Well, I just tried the code and it worked, so I guess I got an extra good deal.
They must have scanned the UPC for the code, and thought it was ringing up the cards also. So I apparently I got them both for $10 instead of $15.

What sucks is that (at least for the PS4 version I tried with) you can't use the $ off PUR coupons, as it's considered a digital item. Let me know if you guys have any luck with coupons on the Xbone or PC SKUs. (If so, I might be looking to trade DLC version codes.)

Thanks, kept me from redeeming my points for nothing.

Exclusive to the XB1 CE only, hence the high price.

I get that they're just trying to pump more sales and this may have more to do with gamestop than jinx or whatever but damn this feels like a slap in the face to those of us who bought the cards for 10 bucks plus 6 dollars shipping direct since we already owned the season pass.

That did seem a tad steep but at least they gave you the option to get the cards if you already bought the DLC.

Maybe they'll release the other two decks with the next DLC.

I don't understand why they don't make this a full fledged card game. It seems like it would sell well.

Kinda a weird question. I atually want to go ahead and play through the witcher games before i get to 3. I was going to do them on PC acually but for the first one i have the imported UK version that isn't censored. Would the saves from that still transfer over to the US release of 2?

I picked this up for PS4 today.  For anyone that collects video game crap, this is a very nice package for $15.  I was actually surprised by the quality that went into this.  Considering a $10 DLC code is included, it's definitely worth it for anyone that likes the lore of the Witcher series.

I purchased this yesterday but apparently I somehow already own the Hearts of Stone DLC. Atleast I was given a Steelbook when I bought this.

Going to check on the way home... Thanks. Not worth the $3.99 shipping charge online.

I wish I had gotten a steelbook with it.  Now my purchase looks like garbage in comparison!
