To be blunt: fuck the haters, Wombat.

Not to be too maudlin, but as a survivor of some relationship situations which turned pretty toxic, I always find it refreshing to remember that there are marriages wherein intimacy is genuinely desired by both participants sometimes.

What I'm saying is that I was doing an awkward arm-pumping simulacrum of an Arsenio Hall audience member upon hearing of your carnal fortunes of late. Nicely done, sir.

Wombat, that Minecraft story had me cracking up. My 8 year old niece just started playing, after about a year of watching Minecraft videos on YouTube. So, there she is, on the couch with two iPads, one running Minecraft, the other showing a YouTube video of someone building something in Minecraft. I felt like the old fart at Thanksgiving, because I only have a small bit of knowledge about the game, mostly with regard to keeping high school students from installing cracked version on school computers. I'm sure I would have committed accidental Minecraft disaster had she let me do more than look at her iPad from arm's length.

I laughed out loud in the office listening to this story. I love minecraft, and I'm sorry she had her house get burnt down by pop-pop, but your delivery was really good there.

 
Thanks for the show guys.  I just picked up Forza Horizon 2 and it does rule!  I am now a proud member of the CAG club.  Any cars that are must haves?  Also, what level are you guys?

 
Also, for Darius I would have said the super wide screen shmup where you're shooting robot fish. I had no idea Dariusburst existed and sadly, I'll probably be in full price as soon as I can find a copy.

 
fucking hate those touch sensitive buttons on consoles nowadays. Especially when you have a cat that likes the warmth of the xbox and tries to sit on top of it and twirl and accidentally turn off your console or eject the disc. On top of DLC and micro transaction gouging in the current generation, I feel like touch sensitive buttons are near there as the most annoying for me.

 
Why wasn't Mr. Fluffle Tuff featured in the outro? More Mr. Fluffle Tuff and more Wombat singing outros! :lol:

any idea when will this yera's GOTY discussion happen? I just listened to each of 2010-2014 and amazed Shipwreck used to play 120-140 games per year!! Very curious to know the number and hours for this year, down to 30-40 games? 

p.s. Raptr used to be so good to track but seems like nobody is using them anymore?

 
Didnt Raptr stop console tracking support? I think I remember getting an email from them to that effect. I was hoping for another service to emerge. I loved getting those year end summaries. Before that I never realized home much I game binge on Saturdays

The LaFerrari is amazing. I thought it'd be difficult to control, but it's just perfect. There is an AWD Porsche that is great for both on and off-road. But the most overlooked and awesome car is the Ford RS200. It's insane. Warning: these cars will make most other cars feel completely inferior. :)

Yeah they did, it was sent in an email i found in my spam folder though, a while ago. They only track PC now :(

Touch sensitive buttons? Didn't they have that for the PS2? Have game developers actually remembered such a thing?

I tracked down that email too, and it mentioned playfire.com as a replacement but I haven't tried it yet. Signing up today, I'll see how it goes.

recheck your update settings. I've had mine randomly reset and then find out later I missed updates. And also for some reason the last episode and this episode show up as the same date on Pocket Casts and this one shows up before the last episode. weird.

 
I believe the intro-skipping feature of Netflix Wombat mentioned only occurs if the intro is at the very beginning of the show. A lot of shows have cold opens, so the feature doesn't kick in.

Raptr really went to shit, at least IMO. After hearing about it mainly on this show, I started using them. Since I'm mainly a PC gamer, I even got their desktop program. Used them for like 2 years or something. Then they stopped the console stuff, but that didn't affect me a whole lot. But they merged with AMD to make their app AMD-integrated. Funnily enough, I use AMD cards, so it should be fine, right? Nope. That shit caused me to blue screen constantly. And I know it was their application since once I stopped using it, all blue screens stopped. The issue is that they went full-on into game clip recording nonsense, which I don't give one lick about. I just wanted game hours and achivements tracked, but that was becoming increasingly secondary as they tried to shove recording down my throat.

Cheapy D was a straight up assassin this episode. Calling out Wombat on all his foibles over the past few months...it was great
 
CheapyD was right on calling The Game Awards a menaingless awards show just to keep Geoff Keighley employed. I mean Splatoon won best multiplayer game and best shooter. It's a fine game I'm sure but c'mon.
