hoping it goes lower....seem to recall release of S4 was 30 dollars in some parts if i remember right and yes those blasted covers.

 
There may be the theoretical S5 steelbook to match the released S1 & S2 ones as well as the upcoming S3 and S4 ones.

No sign of the slipcovers yet, though we may not see anything about them until next year.

 
People really pay that much for a season? That's crazy. I can hardly justify anything more than $12 for a tv show season.

GoT normally ends up $29.99 per season at release, same for the rest of the HBO releases. If you can wait it out, you usually can find them for cheaper than $20, though it's a ways past release.

That's one I will pay price at release since Best Buy has released limited edition slipcovers/packages for Seasons 2 - 4, and they can command a bit of money in the secondary market for people that don't buy them at release since they don't last much past release.

 
I'll wait and see if Best Buy offers up a new set of exclusive slipcovers for this season.  If I remember correctly earlier this year they sold Season 4 at launch for $34.99.

I hope it goes as low as $25. $30 for the first 3 seasons launch week to get the Blu's, DVD's, and Digital copies was an epic deal. And then S4 released with the DVDs exempt, selling them for the same price. This year, I hope it's $25-30 launch week...well, next year.

 
I was in Best Buy today. They had a preorder card for season 5, featuring Martell sigil. That was the only card I saw.

Season 1 launch copies didn't have digital copies.

All of the Best Buy versions launched at $34.99 as far as I can tell from my orders. That was the price for S1, S2, and S4, at least.

 
Damn, already have Targaryen and Martell covers. And I just don't like the Bolton's.

In general it seems like these are much more copy and paste then previous season covers.
 
I'll pick up the Bolton S5 cover, since I have Martell and Tagaryen already on prior seasons.  These ones are a bit meh than the previous ones, though it'll be a holdover until we see what the S5 steelbook has to offer.

Season 1 originally did not, yes. They re-released it later cause of the HBO Select program they started. But Season 2 and Season 3 did launch that week at $29.99. I have my receipts to verify.

Different . . . and not as good. The color and patterning of the whole slipcase reflected the chosen sigil in the past. Now it's the same pattern with a different sigil pasted over it. They might as well be stickers. Hopefully, they're just placeholders.

3/15 is also awful late, even beating out the beginning of March date for the first season, while the three subsequent seasons hit in mid-February.

I looked at the Wiki page. So far, every season's lined up with April airings. The Seasons did release around the times you mentioned on Blu and DVD, though...I do wonder why they are doing a late release of it. That's offering a big crunch of time for those who want to catch up prior to Season 6.

 
Does Best Buy automatically adjust the price of the order if it goes lower before release? I got Tyrell for Season 4, so I'm trying to decide between Martell and Bolton. I'm leaning Martell right now.

 
Shame Best Buy decided to changed the slips this season. WIth the changed and the quality of season 5 I'm pass on it. 

 
Damn, I can't decide whether to go with the House Bolton or House Martell slipcovers.  I don't have Martell yet.  S1 Stark, S2 Lannister, S3 Targaryen, and S4 Tyrell.  I usually try to buy the cover of the house that is dominating their claim to power that season.

Looks like the Sigil versions will be $37.99 at launch.  Kind of disappointing they didn't drop down to $34.99 or under like I had hoped.

 
After selling my 1st season Stark cover edition for $100, I stopped with the covers.

I prefer the extra content in the Target exclusive editions.
 
Was in Walmart yesterday and saw that they had already put out the season 5 DVD set.  Thought it was funny.  Went ahead with the Target preorder with the giftcard.
