It's the remake of the Dragon Valley Battlefield 2 map.  It's a great map, and it's free.  There's also a little surprise for those Battlefield 3 players who love the Noshahr Canal team death match map.

Game Description spoiler.  Highlight to see: Battlefield 4™ Legacy Operations includes Dragon Valley 2015, a classic map reimagined both visually and with new gameplay features. The battle of Dragon Valley 2015 takes place in an idyllic valley where ancient legends tell of a yellow dragon that helped a king channel flood waters into the sea. It’s a huge vehicle focused map with eight capture points in Conquest, making it one of the biggest maps in Battlefield 4. This updated version includes use of more foliage, fitting terrain, increased elevation with higher peaks, cloud layers, and destructible buildings. Use tactical destruction to cut off attack lines by destroying bridges, or repair them to your advantage. For infantry players, the Team Death Match game mode includes a dockyard area in the north point of Dragon Valley 2015 that been redesigned with inspiration from the Battlefield 3™ fan-favorite map, Noshahr Canals, to offer intense close-quarter combat.

Cheers everyone!

Credit goes to Doctorhino over at slickdeals for posting it first.

Free is free, so thanks.  They already officially announced that BF5 is coming out in 2016 in case anyone like me would rather wait for something new.

There is still a very strong community playing BF4 on the PS4. I'm on there daily after a few monotonous periods of grinding on Destiny. There will also be a double XP event on the PS4 (and everywhere else I would assume) starting in a few minutes, lasting for an entire week till next Monday for those who are still not at max level 140 colonel yet.

Why the hell am I jumping on this? I don't even like battlefield. Do video game purchasing addictions have groups yet?

I don't doubt that. I see a friend or two on BF4 on XB1 every now and then. I just personally am done with most standard shooters within a year. The thing is, those can be played solo. Destiny to me is more of a social thing. Raids are easier and better with friends; you joke around while DPSing the bosses. Then you look forward to the monthly iron banner event, etc. That's just me...

CANALS TDM IS BACK???? Oh thank you sweet baby Jesus. One of my favorite online maps of any shooter. Can't wait to fire this up.
Lol. Mine, too. But I'm not sure if we will see a remake of that map here. It just serves as an inspiration. We'll find out soon enough.

Question: How does this (and other DLC) work when you have access to the game via EA Access?
You just buy/get the DLC and it works. It only is an issue when you stop using EA Access and the "rented" game goes poof. Like how it works for PS+, when you stop having it, the games either stop working or revert to demo mode, if there is one.

Got it. Thanks for answering my question!
